"Could you at least knock?" Faith snapped.
Nora looked at her with her eyes wide. Ethan walked into the kitchen without saying anything, he went straight to his fridge and took out two cans of drinks.
"This is not your personal house Prescott, get used to me," he said and left the kitchen.
Nora's eyes followed him until he left the kitchen. Faith had to snap a finger for Nora to look back at her.
"You're engaged Nora."
"Tsk, who said engaged women can't admire hot guys?"
"Danny is hot."
"Danny is hot baby and good lord I love him so much, but it won't stop me from saying a guy is hot. Damn, did you see those biceps?"
"You're just so unbelievable."
"No, I'm not. I'm being truthful. If you sleep in the arms of this one every night you would forget all your problems."
Faith recalled her dream earlier that morning and how Ethan's arms were wrapped around her, she had to shake her head to blurt out the memory from her head. She was not even thinking about it, was she?
"Why ain't you saying anything?" Nora inquired.
Faith looked back at her. "What do you want me to say?"
"You should say that I'm talking trash, you should counter me on that."
Faith chuckled and shook her head. "You're so funny, I can't deal with you right now." She started leaving the kitchen.
"Wait, am I just insinuating something or has it already happened?" Nora asked, giving her a quizzical look.
Faith turned immediately. "What are you even talking about? Is this why you want me to live with this man, so you can taunt me with it everyday?"
"I just asked an honest question."
Faith shook her head again and started leaving the kitchen. Nora stood to follow her, the kitchen stool squeaked as she stood up to follow Faith.
Faith turned back and glared at her. Nora halted and looked at her in surprise.
"What now?"
"Go rinse that plate right away."
"You must be crazy, I'm your visitor."
"No, you're not."
"I'll do that later, but for now we..."
Faith knew what she wanted to talk about, so she changed the topic immediately.
"Any luck with the landlord?" she asked, opening the door. She went into the living room and Nora followed her.
"No luck yet."
Faith glanced at Ethan who was dozing off on the couch. One of the can drinks was empty and was on the floor, the other hung in his hand. She stood there and looked at him for a while, shook her head and went into the bedroom.
"I need to set up my office," she said to Nora. "Staying days without working is boring."
"I know right? What does your roommate do?"
Faith shot her a sharp look. "I told you already, we're staying out of each other's business."
"Don't you think, you should know some basic things about him, to get a better idea of whom you're living with."
"I don't care. This probably isn't gonna last, so I don't want to know anything about him."
"Well, never say never."
