"What is wrong with you?!" he yelled and glanced at the clock. It was few minutes to eleven.
"What is not wrong with me?! What are you doing in my room?!"
"Your room?! Oh, my God, this is not happening right now," Ethan said frustrated. "I paid for this apartment first!"
"You lie! I told you to move your things from this room before I get back. I gave you enough time to do that and yet, you still didn't move your things and you have the guts to lie comfortably on my bed?!"
Her bed. That was right. Axel had told him that the company that was supposed to bring his bed was delaying.
"Look, Faith..."
"It's Miss Prescott!"
"Whatever you are. I'm sorry if I slept on your bed, but waking me with that deafening noise is not necessary, you should have just tapped me."
"My room, my rules," she said with her eyes wide and focused on him. "I do whatever I want to do in my room and whenever."
"Stop saying it's your room, we all know that my properties are much and should be here, but you have only a few things that can fit into any of those other rooms."
"You're seriously bluffing. By the time I'm done, you would leave this room for me."
"Alright, then, good night," Ethan said and started going back to bed.
"Good night? No way! We are not sleeping on the same bed."
"Alright, Miss Mean, I'll take the couch." Ethan climbed down from the bed and went to the couch.
"What did you just call me?"
"I forgot your last name, you know, the one you said I should address you with, so I called something that sounded like it." He dusted the couch with his shirt.
"Mean and Prescott doesn't sound alike."
"Oh, was it Prescott? I'm sorry, Miss Prescott. Can you allow me to go to sleep now?" He laid down on the couch, totally ignoring her.
She stood there arms folded across her chest, glaring at him. When he started snoring again, she went into the bathroom to have her bath. Once she was inside, she thought of Noah. She knew that it was going to take time before she completely flush him out of her mind. She stared at her face in the mirror, and touched her neck bones, wondering if what Nora said was true about her losing a lot of pounds.
The answer glared her there in the face. She couldn't pretend that she wasn't seeing the deep hollow on her neck. She turned on the tap and put the paste on her brush. This was something, she had always done with Noah. She started brushing and she saw him behind her, brushing too. He circled her body with his free hand and hunched forward so that their faces were on the same level. She giggled and threw the foam from her mouth, he threw his and tried to kiss her.
She docked and turned to face him fully. "You wanna kiss with that dirty mouth of yours?"
"Let's get dirty together," he said. He rinsed his mouth and his phone rang in the room. "I've been waiting for that call, babe?" He left the bathroom.
She stared at herself now in the mirror, tears trekking down her eyes. She missed him so much.
