RULES

After the bed incident, they duo went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast to eat. Ethan had never cooked anything in his life before, so he didn't know where to start from. He had not thought about this part when he planned his escape from his mother. After so many fruitless attempts, he gave up and ordered food, leaving his messy plates in the sink.

Faith ate her meal on the kitchen counter, there was no dinning table yet. She had planned buying her household equipments that day. She kept watching Ethan as he made blunder upon blunder of food he was cooking. It wasn't her business, she would have given him a painful smack at his back for wasting so much food. When he was done deceiving himself, he finally ordered food and glanced her way. She quickly removed her eyes and focused on her own food.

Few minutes later, when he was eating his own breakfast and she was done eating hers and had gone back to the kitchen and found that those plates and utensils he had used were still not washed, she went into the master bedroom and started drafting out rules that they would be following in the house.

She went back to the kitchen and had seen his plates still there. He had even added the takeaway he had just bought. She quickly took the drafted rules and went into the living room. He was lying lazily on the couch, pressing his phone.

"Okay, we're gonna have rules," she blurted.

His eyes left his phone and he looked up at her, his brows knitted together in a frown. "What rules?"

"We ain't living here without rules, it would be total chaos."

"I don't live by rules," he said and faced his phone once more.

       "Well, I do."

He looked at her again. His eyes, a pool of green stared incredibly into hers. "Let's hear these rules, but I don't have to agree to these rules," he said reluctantly.

"Rule number one, no littering of the house. Once you're done doing whatever you're doing, make sure clean up. Are you okay with that?"

       "Go ahead."

"Rule number two, respect each other's privacy. Rule number three, no personal questions. Rule number four, formality is the key. We are on formal grounds here, please address me with my last name, not the other way round." She saw that evil smirk on his face again. "Rule number five, no smoking of any kind of thing here. Rule number six, no visitors..."

"What do you mean no visitors?"

"You will have visitors, but you will keep it at a minimum, let your visitor not disturb your roommate. Rule number seven, don't use my belongings and I won't use yours."

Ethan chuckled at that and motioned her to continue. She cleared her throat and continued.

"Rule number eight, don't you dare fall in love with me. "

That made him raise his head and stared at her, jerking his head back. " Where did that come from? Why do you think I would want to fall in love with you?"

"Because, I'll never fall in love with you. Rule number nine, all parties must keep to the rule or risk moving out of the house. Rule number ten, all rules could be adjusted, rule can be add or erased. Do you have anyone you want to make?"

He chuckled. "Rule number eleven, those that make rules are always the first to break them."
