THE COUNSELOR 2

"A man wants sexual fulfilment, he wants a recreational playmate, he wants a beautiful wife, he wants a committed homemaker, he wants a moral virtue, he wants admiration, he wants someone with sense of humour, he wants an intelligent woman, he wants someone he can totally trust. A man doesn't want a wife that always tells his what to do he is not a baby, he likes to be the head. "

As she said those words she thought about Noah and that night that they had broken up. She thought about all that he had told her. Was she a nag? She had read those words in a book last night when she had finally gotten home. She had been relieved to see that Ethan and his girlfriend were no longer there, but the lights had been on.

She had quietly removed her shoes by the door, held then in her hands and had walked on tiptoes to her room, making sure that she hadn't made any noise. She had gone back to her room and had crashed on her bed, but sleep had eluded her, so she had started reading a book and thanks goodness, that book was helpful now. Although, it has been a religious book.

The next morning, she had left the house as quietly as she had entered and she had left so early that before they wake up, she would be long gone.

"Try some of these things to know if your man won't come running to you." She turned to the man.  "I don't need to tell you that you don't have to have an extra marital affair to find peace. Peace is a state of mind and you create it yourself. If you don't build an atmosphere for peace, then you expect chaos..." She went on and on telling the couple steps to take for a better marriage.

But the end of the session, the couple were eager to go try out her counsel and they even held hands when they left her office. When they had left, she had leaned back on her chair and had taken a deep breath. Most cases she had handled were successful or partially successful, but in most cases, the clients comes back to show appreciation.

She wondered how she had been good at fixing other people's life, while her own life was in total shambles. She didn't even have a family not to talk of fixing it. She wondered where her mother was, if she got married, if she had other children, she wondered if her mother sometimes think about her. They had been so close, from what she had remembered of her mother. Then, all of a sudden, her mother left leaving her behind. She ran away, away from her father and away from the nightmare he had created.

Sometimes, she doesn't blame her mother, no one would want to live with a monster like her dad and maybe she hadn't wanted any child that would slow her down or maybe her mother had ran without money nor insurance and had wanted them— she and Joshua to have their daily breads at least.

But her mom could have come back. She would have come stealthily to see them, to see her. Was she not wondering how she had grown. Maybe if she was famous, her mother might have found her. She was famous, but amongst problem candidates.
