"Hi," Faith said.
Charlotte looked around the room. "Wow, you have a big room here and it's beautiful."
"Thank you," Faith said. She didn't want anybody that was going to make her talk much and this girl right here was talkative.
Charlotte looked at her and beamed. "We were not formally introduced."
Faith stared at her. Why was she as cute as a kitten? Judging from her appearance, Faith could tell that she was a year or two years older than her. She was more bright than beautiful. What Faith liked were her large eyes which were so cute. Whether or not she was a bad person, she was a likeable soul.
"I'm Charlotte from Mexico, nice to meet you." She stretched forth her hand.
Faith moved forward and took it. "I'm Faith Prescott from San Francisco."
"I have heard so much about that place. It must be a lovely place."
Only that it's filled with memories of heartbreak. Faith smiled. "Sure."
"Ethan had told me all your rules and I'm ready to follow them. You don't need to worry about me here, I won't give you trouble."
Like you know yourself? "Alright, If you stay out of my way, I don't think we would be having any problems."
Charlotte stared at her, the smile still there. "Miss Prescott or Faith rather, I can't stay out of your way and I won't give you trouble either," Charlotte said in between chuckles.
Faith searched for a nice way to tell her that they can't be friends, but before she could talk, Charlotte has started talking again.
"So do you drink? What kind of drinks do you take? I could help you get dressed," she said gesturing at the dress in Faith's hand. "Let me work on your face."
"I don't...I don't makeup," Faith said and before she could say something else, Charlotte was out of the door.
"There is a first time for everything right?" she said as she left the door.
Faith looked at the closed door for a while and shook her head smiling.
"What kind of girl was she?" she muttered.
Her door opened again in a few minutes and Charlotte rushed in with a kit that she wanted to drop on the bed but quickly decided against it and dropped It on the couch in Faith's room. She had a black dress in her other hand.
"Here, we are all set," she said tossing the dress to Faith who caught it mid-air and wondered why she was tossing her a dress. "You try that on, it's better than wearing a skirt and a blouse on a first date."
"Look, I...don't want to wear this nor makeup, it's not even something serious."
"Don't say no, please. It's something I have wanted to do since I was a kid. Fashion is my dream."
Faith wanted to ask what happened to that dream, but, she knew better than to mind her business. She didn't want her question to open up ways for inquiries into her own life.
"Alright," Faith said, shrugging. She gave up. "Come and do what you know how to do best." She went and sat down in front of the dressing table but Charlotte shook her head and motioned her to the couch.
"You only look, when I'm done."
Faith shrugged and went over to the couch and sat down. There was no avoiding this one.
