Faith closed the door a little bit louder. She glanced over at Ethan's door and slowly walked over to her room. She kicked away her shoes in frustration and removed her clothes. The tears were brewing in her heart. She tossed her shirt and the pant away, tossed her jacket and crashed on the bed, curled herself and started crying.
How could Nora of all people say that to her? She sat up in bed and thought about the only thing that would console her. She wore her pyjama pants and went to the kitchen and turned on the lights. She was grateful that there was nobody in the kitchen. She went to her cabinet to search for wine, but she couldn't find any drink. She opened her fridge and looked inside. There was no drink inside.
She sobbed as she searched frantically. She needed that drink tonight, she needed to drink. Where had all her drinks gone? She had finished her drinks. She sobbed and fell on the floor. She was gradually turning into an alcoholic without knowing. She laid down on the floor and folded her legs.
She stood up immediately like she remembered something. She should search her roommate's fridge if she would find any wine. She glanced at the kitchen door and glanced at Ethan's fridge. Then she slowly stood up and headed to the fridge. Opening the fridge her eyes ran down the different columns of the fridge. He had fruits, drinks, vegetables, can foods, frozen foods, milk, his fridge was stuck to the brim, but that was not what she was searching for, her eyes ran down the fridge and she saw the wines at the last column.
She sighed with relief and stretched out her hand to grab a bottle of tequila, she haven't taken a lot of tequilas in her life, but anything can do now. She grabbed the bottle but stopped as she stood up. Was she also turning into a thief now? The kitchen door flung open and Charlotte came in.
Their eyes met and she stood there with the bottle clutched to her chest, looking like a fool. She was so mortified that moment that she felt the ground could open and swallow her up. The worst next thing that could happen would be for Ethan to walk in there and see her also with that bottle.
"Hi," Charlotte said.
Faith's face went red with shame, she walked slowly towards Charlotte and handed her the wine. Charlotte's face held no form of scorn nor contempt, she just looked at Faith blankly. Faith handed her the wine avoiding her gaze. Charlotte took it.
"You don't have to return it," Charlotte said.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry for taking your wine without your permission and for all those things I said the other day, I was wrong." Faith said in a low voice and made to leave, but Charlotte held her back.
She looked at Charlotte, trying to read her expression. But Charlotte smiled.
"Why don't we share shots of tequila?"
Faith didn't want to talk about anything, but she couldn't resist the mention of drinking alcohol.
