Faith and Charlotte stood by the sidewalk in front of the apartment building waiting for Nora. Charlotte was clutching her mink coat to herself.
"Are you sure she has not backed out?" she asked Faith.
"I don't know, but I know Nora never backs out," Faith replied.
"When she sees threats like me, she would back out."
Faith smiled. "You don't know Nora. She is never afraid of any."
Just like a cue, Nora pulled up in her convertible. She was dressed in a blue coat with white furs around the neck and wrist, a bobble hat and sunglasses. The other two ladies moved towards the car.
"You came late ma'am," Faith said opening the front seat.
Charlotte went behind and closed the door. "I thought you have backed down."
"You don't know me, sis, I never back down or back out on anything, I always grab the bull by the horn."
Faith turned to Charlotte. "Told ya."
"I have grabbed a bull by the horn once," Nora said.
"Nora? Are you exaggerating?" Faith asked looking at her warily.
"I can call my momma and you ask her. Where are we going ladies?"
"Anywhere we can have fun and run. I feel so cold," Charlotte said.
"You are backing down already! I know the perfect place to take us."
"Alright, we are gonna have rules," Faith said.
"You are in love with rules," Charlotte said and wrinkled her nose. "There shouldn't be any rules while having fun."
"They are not rules like rules. They won't restrict us from doing anything, it's actually a rule."
"Bring it on," Nora urged.
"No pretence, don't exaggerate. I know how the both of you are, so if you move out of the script, I'll know."
"I can go out of the script sometimes," Nora said. " I'm not always limited to a place or thing."
"If you over-interpret your script, you would lose."
Nora looked at her. "I don't play to lose, let's get it going."
"I like the sound of that," Charlotte said.
Faith leaned back and smiled to herself. It was going to be difficult deciding who was a vibe. She wasn't even ready to decide, she would just have fun with them.
Nora drove at top speed until she got to a beach. She killed the engine of her car.
"Here we are, girls!"
"What are we doing at a beach?" Faith inquired.
"She wanted a place to run and the beach is a better place." Nora gestured towards Charlotte.
"We are not even dressed for it," Faith lamented.
"That's the point. We are not normal people. We are crazy people doing crazy things."
Faith glanced back at Charlotte. "Are you game?"
"I'm always game!" Charlotte said with a determined look on her face.
"With that said, I am going to tag you!" Nora said and spanked Faith's shoulder.
Before Faith could tell what was going on the other two women were outside the car and running. She looked around and looked at herself. She was still wearing her seat belt.
"Did they plan thi s together? Have I just been tagged?" she asked herself.
