WHY WON'T SHE GET ANGRY?

        Faith came out of her room and sat in the living room. She took the remote control for her TV and turned it on, she glanced at Ethan's door and shrugged. She wondered if Charlotte never gets mad or if she was just pretending not to be mad. Earlier that day when she came back from work, Ethan had held her hand and drawn her to him, when Charlotte came and saw it, she didn't even behave like she saw anything. 

        If she was dating a guy and comes in to see her man holding her friend that way, she would get mad, but Charlotte wasn't that kinda person and it got Faith even scared. People like Charlotte are always very dangerous to deal with, it was better to say out what you feel than to hide your pain and pretend not to see. Maybe, she confronts Ethan inside, but why can't she get mad at Faith? Charlotte was really a weird personality. 

       She had looked at Charlotte through out that lunch that Charlotte had initiated and she had felt worse throughout. She felt like a bitch for having to always get involved with his friend's man. Maybe Charlotte loves Ethan so much and was not ready to loose him, that was why she overlooked a lot of things. She didn't want Charlotte to be like that. She was going to talk to Charlotte, she wouldn't want her to think any less of herself. 

        She picked up her phone and texted Charlotte. 'We need to talk please' That was when she started hearing their voices. She knew it, it was not all rosy, Charlotte was never a statue without feelings. 

          "You don't want to follow me home, why?" she heard Etha ask. She strained her ears and turned down the volume of the TV. 

         "I don't just wanna go, I'm not ready," Charlotte replied. 

        "Is this about anything?" 

     Charlotte chuckled. "This is about nothing alright. I just don't want to see your mom. I'm nervous and I might just go out of the line, I'm not just ready." 

       "This is fear alright, you can overcome it. My mom won't bite and they are nice people and would treat you specially. As a matter of fact, my mom would be glad to see and have you home." 

       There had been silence for a while. Then Charlotte spoke again. "Ethan, I told you from the onset, I wasn't ready for commitment, I told you never to fall in love with me, you would only get hurt." 

         "Why? Why can't I fall in love with you?" 

   Faith listened attentively, she wanted to hear Charlotte's reason for not wanting Ethan to fall in love with her. Was that why she was always unruffled when she sees Ethan with her in some positions? Even if they were kissing. 

      "Ethan, don't do this," she said. 

       "Is this perhaps because you keep seeing my roommate and me together?" 

      Faith heard Charlotte chuckles lightly. "Are you for real? Come off it Ethan, I'm not seeing whatever you are talking about not the way you want me to see it. Faith doesn't even allow it. If you would excuse me."
