RESULT

Ethan woke up when his phone rang, he stretched himself and picked up the phone from the nightstand. He slowly sat up in bed and noticed that Faith was not beside him. He looked at the phone, it was his assistant.  He looked at the clock it was still a few minutes to seven. He wondered why Tyler was calling him that early. He looked around for any sign of Faith in the room but she wasn't around. He answered the call.

"Why are you calling me so early in the morning?" he asked, sounding drowsy.

"It's a scandal that is brewing in the company.  Your uncles are trying to release a news article that you are dead and your mom is hiding it. They don't believe that you are alive until you show yourself in flesh."

        "What?!"

"Your mom is in a panic and she would call you when she calms down. Your father's lawyer has refused to sign anything in your favour until you come back with a wife."

"Jesus Christ!" Ethan exclaimed and rubbed his forehead.  "I hope my whereabouts are still secret."

"Aside from your mom, I and the twins, nobody seems to know."

"Arrange for my arrival tomorrow. I am coming in with the first flight tomorrow morning and I want you to call a board meeting."

Faith came in with a tray of breakfast.

"Sir, would you need a new suit or are you going to appear in those clothes."

Ethan glanced at Faith, Faith was staring at him. He didn't want to sound or look suspicious. She set the tray on the nightstand. "I will like the old clothes, I will go first, I will meet you by ten, please tell mom that I will be coming by ten."

Faith sat at the edge of the bed, still looking at him. He avoided Faith's gaze.

"I will call you later. Bye."  He hung up and smiled at Faith.

Faith smiled and rubbed his long leg.  "Sleepyhead, you are finally awake."

Ethan fell back on the bed.  "It's still early in the morning," he whined.

Faith climbed into bed and lay on his body and placed her chin on his chest.  She looked very pretty that morning. She always looked prettier in the morning, when her lush, brown hair is ruffled. It makes her look very pretty.

"You look so pretty this morning, what have you been up to?"

         "I have been making breakfast."

He sat up and she pushed up from his body and he kissed her and propped his back against the headboard. She shifted closer so that their faces were just inches away.

"Did you have to wake up so early to make breakfast?" he asked.

        "I couldn't sleep."

        "Why?"

She smiled and gave him a mischievous stare.  "I was watching you sleep."

Ethan chuckled.   "That's a lie. I watched you sleep."

"Maybe, you did but when I woke up and your face was the first thing my eyes saw, I couldn't go back to sleep I just had to watch you."

Ethan put his hands over his face and jiggled, feigning shyness.  "I am so shy right now."

Faith chuckled and gave him a light poke on the chest.  "Shame on you."

Ethan quickly removed his hands from his face.  "Shame on me? How dare you say that to a man?"

"As hunky as you look you are still a baby, you are my big baby."

Ethan clutched his chest.  "Oh, my heart. You just know how to make it beat." He took her hand and placed it on his chest.  "Can you feel my heart? Can you feel it?"

She appeared thoughtful and tilted her head from side to side.  "Why is it beating so fast?"

"Because you are here. So, be careful with my heart."

She took his hand and placed it on her chest.  "Mine beats faster, so you should be more careful with mine. By the way, who was on the phone? I heard you talking about your mom."

"Oh, that was one of the twins. I really don't want to ruin this moment," he said and his countenance changed.

Faith frowned.  "What is wrong? Is everything alright?"

Ethan looked into her eyes. He can't tell her now until he engages her and until he was sure she wanted marriage as much as he does. He huffed.  "Mom is sick and I need to go over to San Francisco tomorrow."

Faith pulled away from him. She didn't know the one that devastated her the most, that his mom was sick or that he was leaving tomorrow. When she managed to calm her heart, she asked,   "What is wrong with her?"

"I don't know, she slumped and she had been asking of me since yesterday. I need to go and know why."

She remained silent for a while.  "I am going to miss you," she said.  "How long would you stay? Can't I come with you?"

"Oh, no. I won't let you miss your therapy. Besides, I don't know how long I would be staying there. You have clients to oversee."

       "I can always reschedule."

He held her hands and looked into her eyes.  "I don't want you to miss out on anything because of me alright? Because I don't want to take you home under such circumstances, you might not feel welcomed, everyone would focus on mom."

        "But, I don't care."

He cupped her face with his hands. "I care. I don't want you pretending you are okay for me when you are not. Please, just listen to me. I know what I am saying."

She stared into his beautiful green eyes for a while and nodded.  "When are you leaving?"

         "Tomorrow."

"I am missing you already," she said in a hoarse voice.

"I will miss you more," he said and took her lips with his.

That evening, when Faith came back from work, Ethan noticed that she was not very lively, he tried getting answers from her but he couldn't, she won't say why. He thought she might be feeling bad because he was travelling tomorrow. Not until he saw the pregnancy test result on the floor, he picked it up, checked it and saw that it was negative.

When she came into the room again, he held up the sheet.   "Don't tell me you are sombre because of this?" he said. Wondering if she had really wanted to take in.

Faith who was hiding the result from Ethan sighed. She had decided not to talk about the pregnancy anymore since it seems Ethan was not ready at the moment, but she couldn't help but feel disappointed when the result said negative.

"You are not supposed to see that,"  she said slowly and untied her hair. She had not removed the clothes she came back with. It might have fallen off her coat.

"That is not the question here. You know what?"  He threw his hands up.  "Do whatever you wish." He went back to packing his clothes.

Faith strode over to him and wrapped her arms around him from behind.  "Hey, why are you worked up? It's not even positive."

      "I said it's fine."

"No, it's not. Your face doesn't say so."

"I don't want to argue about it..."

"Fine," Faith said and left his back, turning him to face her.  "No more arguments. It's a good thing that it wasn't positive. I just got carried away by all those...you know, talks and gifts about pregnancy." She stood on tiptoes and planted small kisses all over his face.  "Guess what? I am going to prepare your favourite meal tonight. Will you cook with me?"

Ethan replied with a sound in his throat.  "Mmh."

Faith smiled.  "And there is one new thing that you are going to like." She removes her coat and unbuttoned her shirt, exposing a new lacy black bra, it soothed her skin so well.

He just stood there staring at her breast without moving, he never stop marvelling at how perfect her body was.

"Tsk." She clicked her tongue.  "You don't like it, I will better start going," she said and started to leave, but he rushed her, grabbed her by the wrist and drew her to him and their lips met.

They kissed deeply, awakening those desires again. She always makes him snap out of the last chain of sanity. No matter how he tried to control himself around her, he comes running whenever she beckons. That was the power of attraction and she was his attraction.  The kiss deepened, quickened, their hearts raced, their hands tore clothes away from each other, and low moans of pleasure escaped their throats.

He pushed her gently, still kissing her until her butt was pressed on the table in the room. He removed his lips from her and looked her right in the eyes and smiled. "I love it," he said in a husky voice filled with emotions.

"Don't stop touching me," she said grabbing his face and kissing him.

He reciprocated, kissing her with a mad vigour, he lifted her by the lips and made her seat on the table, he removed his lips from hers and stared into her eyes. She wrapped her legs around his waist, digging her fingers into his shoulders and let out a high moan as he plunged into her. He thrust and she held him to her, her fingers digging deeper into his flesh, their raw flesh clashing, low hums escaping his throat, desires slashing.

He thrust until she gasped breathlessly, pupils rolling up as he brought her to her climax and reached his. For a while, they held unto each oth er panting breathlessly.

"I love you so much," he mumbled in her ears.

She kissed his shoulder.  "I love you too."
