Chapter seventy seven:

(Please do not read, come back 9 am for the complete edited one, this one is repeated.)

She looked up at his tall plush figure which was positioned by her side.

"Thank you for your contribution Mr. Wayne," she said then immediately took her attention back to her work.

What exactly was he thinking moving up to her like that before her Infront of everyone. She get it, he was the boss, he was above the law around here, but what about her? What would they think if he showed a little more unusual concern towards her? Some of them were already thinking that she was oddly favoured because she wasn't present during their interview and because when they started, she had some immature design. Now if he gives any impression that they might have any other form of relationship or contact after their Venus, then it will make the conclude that maybe he had a hand in her acceptance in Venus which was totally false.

The class was soon over, they had sent their work for review to the tutor and they all pack and Left.

Joleen needed things set straight. She wanted to let him understand how she wants thing to be. She could have simply waited to inform him at home in his mansion, but she didn't still trust herself around him, so meeting him at his office, a cooperate place was definitely a better idea.

This time around, she didn't need much direction to locate his office. She was faced with the his secretary, the talk dark hard young lady.

"Well, hello," Joleen greated the lady.

"Oh, hello dear," the looked up at her and greeted back politely.

"I'm Joleen, I'm here to see Mr. Wayne." Joleen said with a faint smile. Joleen saw the lady's expression change, she noticed how she looked over her, making a unsure expression. She looked at the badge on her right chest.

"Ms Becky," it's says. Her name was Becky she concluded.

"What time is your appointment then?" Ms Becky asked with a faint smile.

Joleen felt like her last question was to mock her, because if anyone knew Mr. Wayne's appointment, it be his secretary.

"I don't have an appointment" she said plainly.

"Mm, I see," she said still wearing the faint smile, but this time she tilted her eyes.

"So is he expecting you?" Ms Becky added.

Joleen sighed, she didn't see where this whole thing was going. She didn't have any official pass that could warrant her to be let inside there.

"Look, I uhh..." Joleen was searching for the right word to explain how she was no outside to Venus. Maybe if she explained to her that she was one of the students, all this interrogation would be skipped.

"We have met before, remember?"

" I do, but I'm sorry you still need an appointment..."

"I'm one of the students and I really need to see him for something important." .

"Look, uhh, Joooleenn" The lady stretched out her name sarcastically in a way that provoked her.

Joleen was beginning to run out of words to explain her self, but yeah she needed to act civil and not act uncut.

"I don't make the rules here," she said.

"Look, I don't care about your rules, or who made them, I need to go in there, I have place to other than stand here." Joleen said knowing fully well how provocative she was beginning to sound.

"And even if I'm to let you in, he is a little occupied now, he has guest," she threw that out casually like she finally had finally found how to simply dismiss her and that just crossed the line for her.

Well she can't really do anything uncut, she just see if she would stop her from getting into his office. More like I'df she would be fast enough to get out of that counter and then move fast enough to stop her.

Joleen left Ms. Becky's counter, rushed to the only entrance that could possibly lead to Dennis's office.

"Hey miss," she heard Ms. Becky call for her, but I'm order to have her refrain from getting into that door, just calling for her wouldn't do half of it.

She reached the door, reached the knob and sprung it open.

She walked into the the office as she saw Dennis move his attention to the door.

The office was large, spacious and quiet asthetic.

He had his off table to the end of the wall accross the door, but not facing the door. It was arranged in a way that the table had it angle (side) facing the entrance. Which meant that no one by the table would have their back to the entrance, but their side. Dennis looked by the side to the entrance and so did his momand the unfamiliar face sitting by the next chair close to his moms. The three were still and had their uninterrupted gaze on her.

Oh and she still too, she sure did not expect to see anyone but Dennis in there because she thought Becky was just trying to dismiss her.

She was still, she couldn't move or even speak of what had brought her.

"Oh, my apologies sure, but I tried to stop her,". Ms. Becky said just immediately she entered the office.

"Ma'am, please you need to leave now,"  Ms Becky said, but with all the eyes fixed on her, she couldn't move, so she just stood in the middle of the wide open entrance as saw the shock in every one's face, especially Dennis mom.

She saw her move her gaze to her son, then back to her.

"Joleen, what ever it is can wait," she heard Dennis finally speak.

"I will send for you," He added.

Joleen found her legs concurring to his words.

"Yeah," she said before turning in embarrassment and making her way out.

Joleen moved swiftly without looking back. Her feet were moving faster than it has ever done on an average afternoon.

*** POV DENNIS ***

'What was that and what was it for?' Dennis wondered. Why would she just randomly stumble into his office like that? A little rage grew within him but he put it aside for when he would call for her. For now he wanted to get over this discussion with this campaign manager over the just concluded campaign.

After a couple minutes, they were done with the campaign discussion. His mum dismissed the campaign manager and stayed back her self.

His mom was usually very willing to leave a minute, so the moment she stayed back, he knew why she did.

He hasn't heard the talk, but they bore him out already, though he would hear it regardless, but only because he loved her and everything he did was for the best of him and his company.

The door had just been shut behind the campaign manager. His mum had a tough questioning gaze on him but he tried to avoid her stare. But that only lasted for second because.

"Whaat mom?" He asked maintaining serious face.

"What is going on with you at that girl," she asked sounding pissed.

"I don't think you want me to tell you exactly what goes on," Dennis said with a plain tone, then moving his attention to his MacBook.

"Oh, Jesus," his om let out.

"Don't let it break you, it was a one time thing," he said casually with out showing any form of emotions or concerns.

"Whatever it is you are doing with her should end, Jesus this is embarrassing" she said.

"She is your student for crying out loud," she added getting on her feet.

"Relax mom, ity nothing to worry about," he said.

"It better be," he acknowledged and then dashed out of sight.
