XAVIER EASTON

City F.

Inside a luxurious Villa.

The figure of a man was leaning against the window frame as he scrutinized the environment outside the window. He was itching to smoke, but couldn't. His gray eyes meagerly scanned the area, but his mind could not help but drift back to the rejection of the woman he loved.

He knew she was right. They were poles apart.

The door to his room got knocked at and with a calm voice, he ordered “Come in”

A man in his mid-twenties sauntered in. He had his head bowed above his waist slightly as he greeted “Boss”

The man waved his hand, “Did you get any news?” He asked, his mind on something.

“Oh yes!! The younger miss has woken up” The other man hummed “And about that man, I found some secrets about him. He isn't who we think he is…there was footage of him sleeping with the other mistress and I had told the manager to send the video”

“Did he?”

The younger man nodded his head as he handed the phone to his boss.

“Mr. Easton, I think we shouldn't let younger miss May marry that man…we should stop the wedding”

Xavier watched the video and frowned. He fisted his hands, but his expression was calm. He ordered, “Extend my time here… I am not returning”

The assistant was shocked.

“But Xavier… I mean Mr. Easton, Miss May's life will be ruined if she marries him”

Xavier threw a glare at the man, “Do as I say…no objections”

Reluctantly, the assistant paused and bowed “Yes boss” he collected his phone and left the room.

Xavier took long strides towards his bed and sat on it. He lowered his head as he remembered her words.

'Not in this life or the next will I accept you as a man'?

Xavier leaned against the bed rim and closed his eyes.

'I will let you fight your problems from now' He thought.

Xavier Easton, the only son of Mr. Drake Easton, is one of the most potential and accountable billionaires in City A. At the age of 20, he took over his father's business and took them to a higher height. Being ranked one of the youngest and greatest billionaires of all time, he succeeded in every deal he made.

Though, he was rumored to be gay because he never had any interaction with a woman. He knew who was in his heart. He was soon going to be thirty in the next upcoming months. His father often urged him to find a woman or was fixed for blind dates. But still, no one was like that woman. And no one could ever be.

.....................

The next day.

A maid knocked on May's room, but the woman didn't open up. Thinking she must be in the bathroom, the maid opened the door and entered. She searched around the room for dirty clothes and found none, she felt it was odd.

“Miss May, are you in there?” The maid asked, but heard no noise from the bathroom. She knocked, but as soon as her hands touched the door, the barrier opened up on its own. The maid felt something was wrong when she didn't see May.

She went back to the room, calling her name. That was until she saw a paper on the bed. She picked it up and read.

'You can think of my disappearance as if I have been kidnapped. Tell father I won't marry that man anymore. You must be wondering how my love for him changed overnight. I experienced something, but I can't tell you. Silvia, you are the only one in this family I trust. You must be hurting right now but don't worry, one day I will come back as a tough woman who doesn't need Father or anybody. I will make myself a life you will be proud of. Take care of yourself, and please wipe the tears off your face. Strong women don't cry.

Xoxo'.

Silvia, the maid, couldn't stop crying as she closed the paper.

'You are always causing trouble for me, but I still love you' she smiled, 'I am happy you aren't marrying that man regardless'

Silvia realized the windows opened. She shook her head as she smiled.

“Still creative”

Meanwhile, on the road, May had run over four miles away from her home. She fell to the floor as she was exhausted. She looked around for a cab that will take her to the airport.

Likewise, she had spoken to a friend of hers about her trip to City F. All she had to do was to get to the airport on time before her flight was delayed.

Because she was rushing, she didn't put on a normal dress. She was still in her night dress. The onlookers on the road glanced at her with awkwardness.

'Brother Xavier, you'd better be ready to welcome me to your home. You are my only hope. Be ready to be tamed by me'.
