Chapter 50

It is a known fact that when one is in love, he or she behaves in such a way that looked foolish, love somehow turns a strong man to a weakling and a smart man become 'stupid' literally. He accepts things he would have ordinarily refused and apologizes for things he never did not caused. This was the point at which Mike found himself. He had loved Olivia from day one, and had not found any reason to see anything wrong about her. His love for her beclouded hi to the extent that he neither asked questions about her not tried finding out even the most simplest thing about her. He would have studied her to atleast know her temperament, her likes and dislikes and other things a man usual seek when going after a woman. If not for the letter of designation of duty that he got, although it he was later disappointed,he would have known Olivia's surname. Here he was, caught up in his mess, Karma seem to have decided to pay him a visit. The quietness in the room was scary, he couldn't tell what Olivia had in her mind, or what she was either thinking or planning. Worst of it being that he couldn't say if she saw them hug and kiss. He only noticed her when she had came so close. He was holding his phone in his hand, pretending to be busy, but carefully watching he as she was busy reading through the paperwork that Lucy had handed over to her earlier.

Olivia was so busy reading through the work that she had not time to notice Mike, she had to read through all the letters and words to be sure that there was no mistake that could bring legal tussle. She saw Mike talking to Lucy, and that was all, she felt possibly that when she left Mike, he became lonely and decided to look around, but what she couldn't tell was why he would go after a lady while she was inside the room. She felt disappointed, this to her was her fears when it came to relationships. She had heard it many times that men must cheat, and experience had also proven that, but she felt Mike was different as she had observed him from that day she came into their house, he was to her best of knowledge a husband who loved the wife. As she thought so, it crossed her mind that he also cheated Pat with her, she smiled, and let it slide. She knew that Mike may cheated on her when he went to Paris, she was really bordered, but felt it was her fault if such a thing happened, as she refused going on that trip with him.

She wouldn't have taking it serious, as she had no evidence nor does she know anyone who he has slept with. What broke the camel's back was the appearance of Lucy, and the sight of Mike with her, she had got information about Lucy and her lifestyle, including the kind of work she does the day after Lucy signed the agreement, she was actually digging into her profile, trying to know her and her background. Most of the information she got came from her informant, while Sam confirmed it when she adviced him to be cautious. While she worked, she noticed that Mike's silence was unusual, he was very uncomfortable too, she had stolen a look at him at intervals, and his face was not funny. She decided to break the silence, and possibly find out if he was hiding something from her.

Hello Mike, are you ok? She said

Mike was shocked, he was thinking of the best way to start a conversation or possible tell her what actually happened in Paris, but the question came as a relief and a suprise at the same time.

I am fine, he said.

He wanted telling how he felt, but her voice stopped him.

Who is she? Olivia asked

The question was more of tactical to him, he would have preferred a straight to the point question. He didn't know what to say, whether it was better to tell the truth or lie. He cursed the day he met Lucy, if only he knew what he had before leaving for Paris, he wouldn't have messed up.

Her name is Lucy, I met her in Paris.

He spoke with a low voice, sounded like a little boy whose mom caught stealing from her pot or purse.while he spoke, he found it difficult looking Olivia in the face. Olivia also noticed that.

Is there anything you are not telling me? She quizzed.

She knew he was feeling guilty and from the way he behaved, she sensed something was not right. Could it be that he had slept with Lucy while in Paris, she shrugged off that thought, she wouldn't believe it even if he told her. For her, they may have met in Paris, and maybe they got close and here they are again.

Feel free Mike, I was just being jealous, when I saw you with her talking, I never knew you two knew each other. Mike took a deep breath, he thanked his stars she interrupted him, who would have thought she wasn't going to prove deeper. He would have just sold himself out so cheap. Here was an escape hole which she had dug for him, and has no option than to dive in for his life.

I am sorry I didn't mean to make you feel that way, I feel she was just excited seeing me again, I helped her once while in Paris.

While he lied, he made sure his eye were focused on hers, he knew she may ask what kind of help he gave her, so he stood up and moved towards her, held her head with his two hands and planted a sensitive kiss on her lips. Olivia was carried away by that kiss as it meant a lot to her, infact it was an assurance that he was telling the truth and a reassurance that his love for her was not doubtful. She wanted more of the kiss and even more than the kiss, so she held him back and kisses him passionately. They were still kissing when a knock came on their door. Mike went to to the door, he peeped through the little hole on the door and there was standing the chef from the kitchen. He opened and the chef without waiting for questions asked that he spoke to Olivia. Olivia who had forgotten she made a special request for an African cuisine as an evening meal to welcome Lucy, Jumped to her feet and apologized to the chef that she forgot. The chef accepted and informed her the meal was ready, he wanted to know where she made reservation for the dinner so they would do the needful. She asked him to excuse her for a minute as she called through the intercom and made a reservation of a table for three, and immediately reverted to the chef, who thanked her and left. When they got back in, Mike was again taken aback, he hadn't seen where a chef took a direct order from a guest, not to talk of coming back himself to make all those inquiries for the service. There was more things he was yet to know about Olivia. He recalled his suspicion when they first visited the hotel, and the flash back when she presented the Gold platinum card with her father's name boldly crested on it. Although Olivia was alread turned on and would have loved to continue from where they stopped, she felt it was better after the dinner. So she called room 101 and informed Lucy that the dinner time was 7pm and that she should dress to kill. Mikes mind flew when he heard that, he recalled the kind of wears Lucy was flaunting while in Paris, and felt he was in for a showdown. What he didn't know was that Olivia expected Lucy to turn up with her 'professional' kind of wears so that she would see his reaction. Olivia was more beautiful than Lucy in all ramifications, the only difference was that Lucy was more shouty and extravagant in her make up and dressing, this Mike attributed to the profession she chose, as she must attract men that way. Olivia was a responsible and homely well trained lady who knew how to present her self in public and her choice of dressing was always in tandem with wherever or whatever be the occasion. She would have been worse if she was to be in the same line with Lucy, this he could bet on as she dressed more seductive than a Lucy when she was inside the room. Olivia was first to take her shower as she checked the time was already half past six. Mike noticed too and rushed in for his own bath.

Meanwhile, Lucy was on the bed tossing around, thinking of Mike, when the call came in, she was thinking of a way to have even a quickie with him, her body was on fire for him. Nothing would make her stay complete like having him inside of her. It was as if the whole escapades they had at Paris was playing on the screen in the room. The call though a distortion, but it was helpful in the sense that it brought her mind back and as soon as she dropped the call she checked the time and saw it was half past six. She quickly rushed into the bathroom and has a quick shower. When she out, the last sentence from Olivias voice responded in her ear. She looked at all the clothes she came with, they were all formal. Her new profile has changed her mentality. Her entire wardrobe had changed, as she was recently buying more of corporate wears, and this in many ways was bringing her respect and drawing responsible people her way. She was seen as a high profiled lady and a lot of professions were attached to her by people she met. Some see her as a banker, others as top ranked manager of a firm. One other thing was that her dressing beffits the cars Sam gave her to move around with. Lucy tried her clothes one after the other and watched herself in the mirror while she does that, she finally chose one, and within few minutes, he was ready for the dinner.

Mike had to put on the tuxedo suit and trouser with his white shirt, but this time without tie, he would have loved to dress differently, but he had no spare cloth owing to the initial plan of just a dinner, before the change of plan. Olivia on her part had the same issue, but she what she wore was skimpy and seductive. They were ready and looked good to go, even as they complemented each other. They were first to arrive the at the reserved space and table, it was a beautiful garden at the back of one of the building, it had a mini swimming pool at the centre, and seats for two, three and so on around it. The place the seat was kept was nearly demarcated and beautified with flowers. One can see the pool from where one was sitted. The table Olivia and Mike and Lucy were to stay, had a card boldly written reserved on it. They could see few others having that too. They took their seat, Olivia sitting beside Mike, leaving the empty seat that was opposite the for Lucy.

It was 7:03, when Lucy walked majestically towards table, Olivia and Mike could not believe their eyes. She was indeed dressed to kill, Mike had expected to see her with her hot mini skirt and the usual top that hugged her body, showing her big boobs, he was training his eyes not to fall for her as he knew she would opened her hot legs and laps seductively for him when sitting opposite him in the hot mini. Olivias expectation was also dashed cos the trap she wanted setting for Mike didn't work. Lucy was looking gorgeous, she came out in a long red strawberry gown, with a red heels shoes to match, her gown was beautified with shining stones on the chest. The gown  was flowing a little on the floor while she walked, and the beauty of it was that she held it up in a most fancy way that accompanied it in style. She was wearing a red necklace and a red hand bangle too, her hair was packed and held with a red hair clip. She took her seat after a peck on the cheek from her hosts. As soon as she sat down, she crossed her legs beautifully, that made Mike wonder how and when the change in her took place. Olivia was also dumbfounded, having heard about her, she expected less formality from her.

Olivia could not hide her feelings, she complimented Lucy accordingly and told her how lovely and beautiful her dress was;

I must confess that I am impressed at your choice of dress, your combination is superb, you actually understood me when I said dress to kill. Oliva said.

Thank you, I appreciate, Lucy replied with humility.

She had a huge respect for Olivia since she knew about her, moreover Sam had told her some things too that made her level of respect increase. All the while she sat down, she carefully avoided Mike's eyes, she wouldn't want to cause problem between him and his wife, eventhough she felt like jumping on him with her legs wide open. He was looking charming in the tuxedo.

You look more beautiful than they said, and I love what you are putting on, Lucy said.

Thank you, Olivia responded.

Mike didn't know if he was to commend Lucy, or both. He was actually thinking of the best way to say what he felt he should as he felt the odd one out.

I must confess that you ladies have made my day, both of you look gorgeous. He said

Thank you, they replied simultaneously. And Olivia added that he looked exactly like what a gentleman represents.

Mike felt the need to do the next needful thing.

Lucy, ...

Olivia interrupted him without knowledge of what he wanted to do, rather she spoke first.

Lucy, I know you have met Mike, my husband.

Yes in Paris, he was kind to me. Lucy replied.

Mike could not believe what he heard, husband? He thought, not to talk of Lucy's response of his kindness. He could see high level of  intelligence playing out between the two ladies. Lucy was about to say something, when the waiter interrupted with the ordered meal. As the rest of the minutes were used to introduce to Lucy the African cuisine as it was being served.

It was Lucy's first time in Africa and her first time to taste an African meal. She was served, jollof rice, salad, with fried plantain and fried fish. She couldn't hold her joy when she tasted it, as she loved it. She asked that she got the recipes before she left as she would love to try it herself. She has her first plate and demanded more. On the table, were assorted wines, ranging from grape, strawberry, and other fruit wines, there were also champagne and other alcoholic drinks. They took time to eat and made merry with the drinks. While they enjoyed, Olivia took time to explain to her that she was on the paper work, and that she would soon be through and sign. She told her not to worry as she was going to call the agent in the US so that it will be easy for them. Lucy was so happy and appreciated Olivia for the kind gesture she extended toward her.
