Chapter 156

Chase got feedback from Charles that from his findings, Mike hadn't left the US yet. Chase was not surprised at how he got to know, he would have known also, was he in his shoes. Having got the information, it settled his mind on his job in the UK. He had no need to think of whether he would be heading to Africa or not. Even though he knew that money would have been made by him, he also knew that it would have involved a lot of stress. Chase called Olivia and informed her that according to Charles, Mike was still in the US. 

Olivia was not bothered whether Mike was in the moon, all that she was concerned was how to resolve whatever relationship issues she was having with him. She had earlier on Sat with Lucy and Mira her sister, and they had given her their thought over whatever was going on. It was obvious that they saw things this time around from a very reasonable perspective. Their advice was that that she should make effort to get in touch with Mike so as to hear from him directly, first of all on whatever had happened between their time in the US and now. The second was to know what his plans were concerning their relationship. 

Mira was of the view that without getting Mike's side of the story, any action taken by Olivia her sister would be blamed at last, especially if things went wrong. She was sure that her sister, still had some space in her heart for Mike, she wasn't the type that loved easily. Whenever she does, it was also difficult for her to let go, even when it was obvious that she wasn't needed anymore. She was a strong person, no doubt but it was in every other thing than love. Lucy's mind was more on her insistence that Mike would come back for Olivia. She supported the idea of reaching out to him, and believed it would make things work out faster. Her conviction was not far fetched, being that all the time she had tried winning Mike over, she discovered that whatever Mike saw in Olivia was too strong for him to leave. This was why she had to let go of him.

Margaret rose from the bed, very tired, she was supposed to be in the offices, but for the way she felt health wise. She then decided to check her mail, at that points, Mike who was watching her every move had to guard himself so he would perfectly play his ignorant role. Margaret took her iPad, logged in her details and password, then waited for it to open. While she was waiting, she admired Mike in his seated position, if only the test she planned going for would come out positive, she thought, it would be a dream come through. While she watched Mike, he didn't notice her, he was busy going through some of the correspondences from his office.

The mail finally opened and Margaret returned her attention back to the iPad. She took her time to check the mails one after the other, beginning from the last date she checked. She also made sure she didn't jump any date. After a few mails, she saw that which was not from within, the senders' name looked like something she had seen before. She clicked on it and that was it, the subject reminded her of where and when she first saw the name. She was overjoyed that she couldn't hold it to herself. 

Margaret scrolled down and read through, when she saw the amount involved, she couldn't help but jump out of the bed and threw herself on Mike. She totally forgot her health condition, her joy and halo knew no bounds. Mike who was busy had to drop his phone so he could catch her. He wondered what must have triggered such spontaneous act, while he was about to ask the question, Margaret rushed his mouth with hers, planting a passionate kiss on his lips. The more he fought to free himself, was the more intimate she went with her lips. This went on as if it was a fight, until Mike has to give up the defence and allowed her have her way. 

The kiss lasted for a while, Mike pretended the much he could in response. When Margaret felt satisfied, she released Mike. That was when she told him the reason for her action. She asked if Mike had seen the mail, and if he knew that he was going to spend more time in the US. Mike successfully feigned ignorance totally, he had to first, read from her iPad, before taking up his and logged on so he would also read his. This made Margaret believe that he hadn't any knowledge of such. Whether he had the knowledge or not wasn't her concern, her joy was that Mike was still very much around her.

She joined Mike to read his mail, after which she hugged him. She was super happy that withing few days of their return, she had struck another huge deal, courtesy of Mike. She knew what impression that would create in her Grand pa, talk more of her Dad. Moreover she strongly believed that Mike's influence had a lot to do with it, hence her gratitude to him. She had thanked and expressed her profound appreciation to Mike to the extent that Mike didn't know how best to stop her. All he had to do was smile, in his mind, he was saying, if only she knew how this happened.

Margaret was still dancing around Mike, when her phone rang. She looked at it and it was her Grand pa. She picked up and left it on speaker. She wanted mike to hear the conversation she was having with Grand pa. When Grand pa spoke, his voice was filled with joy and love for Margaret. He, first among all things asked after Mike. This was one of the things that somehow made Mike to hang on around Margaret a little bit, the level of love and care he was getting from all and sundry in her family was incomparable to none. Although Olivia loved him, and the family had known him, they hadn't in any small measure got in touch with him like Margarets'. Grand pa appreciated Margaret in a wonderful way, encouraged her to keep up the good work and finally asked where the deal was coming from. 

Margaret knew whatt the mention of Mike would mean to him, she also knew that it would have a positive impact on the course she was pursuing. When Grand pa heard that it was another deal from Mike, he asked that he spoke with him. Since Mike was already part of the discussion due to the speaker, Margaret had to pretend she was handing over the phone to him, at that, Mike greeted Grand pa.

Grand pa didn't say much words, he only to Thanked Mike for such a huge deal and promised to get back to him. After that, he hung up. Mike wasn't sure what the statement meant, he would only wait for the time to see what it would be. Meanwhile Margaret continued her jubilation on Mike's body.
