Chapter 158

As the English saying goes, when there is a will, there is a way, that was what happened in Olivia's life henceforth. The meeting with her sister and friends, happened to bring back everything in her life. She became more of herself, chatty and free. From the look on her face and her outward appearance, including he dressing, it became obvious that change had occurred. The thought of the baby she was carrying in her womb, never bothered her anymore, she wouldn't mind Mike's absence, though she would love him to return to her. The truth was that it wasn't disturbing her the way it used to. The feeling and mindset that no one would be able to snatch him away from her, had taken whatever space that remained in her brain. All he anticipated was the feedback that she would be getting while the game was on, knowing as Pat had explained it how funny and enjoying it would be while it lasted.

They had several meetings, while they await Chases return. There resolutions were few, but it had one central objective, which was that while Chase did his job, they wouldn't mind having a video clip of reactions if possible. They knew it would cost some money, they were ready to spend whatever it took to achieve their desired goal.

On the day Chase was to arrive, Pat was asked not to go to work, it was planned that the four of them would be around to discuss the deal with Chase. They also decided that the discussion wouldn't be held at home, hence they booked a space in the family hotel. It was an easy one, the only thing they needed was to make a phone call and a place of their choice would be kept. Most times, if not for the kind of person Olivia was, they would even cancel an already made reservations for their sake. In such a case, they made sure she never knew about it.

It happened that their choice this time around had not in any way been booked by anyone. When they got the response that a space for five had been made, Olivia had to get back to Chase and informed him of the schedule. If there was one thing the twin love about Chase, it was that they could always count on him. There hadn't been a time they called on him and he gave them excuse(s). What they failed to understand was that Chase was doing his job which officially he was designated to do. He wasn't answerable to Olivia and Mira, but their Dad. When he had ended the call from Olivia, having accepted to meet up with them at the venue, he walked out to where the airport taxi was waiting and got in. In the car, he had to rest his head and took a nap.

Meanwhile, Mike was seriously giving a deep thought to his stay in the US, he felt the need to initiate a conversation with Margaret so as to tell her his plan to move into a hotel. He would try the best he could to make her see reasons with him. One of his reasons he planned presenting was that of him inconveniencing her. He knew and was very sure it was a huge task which would take his time and energy, he also knew that it might get into a heated argument, but he felt it was worth trying. Mike decided that he would do so after meeting with the Dad, that would be a perfect time, being that she would be in a happy mood.

Even though Mike felt so sure he could pull his plan through and that there were high chances would succeed, the little probability of failure was still glaring. He wasn't ready to keep up with Margarets' desires for emotional satisfaction, it was becoming a reoccurring decimal. Each time he brought up something very important to him, especially when it had to do with her consent, she usually found a way to rope him into doing her a favour before getting her consent. More of the favour ended up being emotional or sexual satisfaction. He knew this time around it might be the case, and he wasn't ready for such.

While Mike was all alone in the house planning, Margaret was on her way to the clinic, for a medical test. She had told Mike that she got a call and would love to meet up with the person for an urgent transaction, the way she presenters it, Mike had no doubt that she wasn't telling the truth, so he accepted and excused her. It wasn't as if he would have stopped her if he had known she was trekking lies, but Margaret knew that without such lie, Mike would suspect her move was for the test. This she wouldn't want him to have knowledge of.

While in the car, a lot of ideas began to crop up in Margarets' mind, first, she thought of what she would do as an alternate if by chance, the test came out positive, this made her smile, she couldn't imagine how joyous she would be. It would be a wonderful moment which she would gladly record where she would present the good news to Mike, she thought. She also began to imagine what the scene and the actions would be like. In her mind, she rehearsed the presentation, imagining Mike sitting or standing while she walked in with the result in her hand. She thought of how she would start, possibly with a preamble or asking him to guess what she had in her hand. She was deeply engrossed in her thought that she didn't know when they arrived the clinic.

Chase arrived the hotel in the official car, he had to get home first after handing in his report in the office. The distance from the office being closer to the house than the hotel, he felt it wise to make use of a means most convenient and less expensive. The moment he alighted from the car, he called Olivia's number. Olivia directed him to the receptionist who gave him the directions to locate where the four ladies were seated. It was not difficult for him to get to the lift, which took him up to the last floor where the VVIP lounge was sighted.

Chase had always been a ladies man, he had a good sense of dressing and carried himself very well. His charisma was amazing and second to none, he knew how to make a woman go crazy. Already, the receptionist had got a taste of him while they interacted, Chase knew and caught her gazing at him in admiration. It was one of his hobby, it gave him joy when women adored him. He was dressed in a semi casual attire, a black long pant with a white long sleeve shirt which he chose to fold the sleeves up to a little close to his ankle. He had a black beautiful belt and shoe to match them. As usual he was a lover of big sized wristwatch especially the quartz decorated ones.

His entrance brought a smile in the faces of the ladies, the atmosphere also changed as they composed themselves. They offered him a seat and while he say down, they began to do what they knew how to do best, creating a fun filled platform. While Olivia admired his dressing, Lucy was more inclined to his belt and wristwatch, she already knew the estimated cost. Mira was careful in her commendation, she had all along had some kind of emotional feelings towards him, but after she had discovered that there was someone in his life, she had to hold herself back. She casually commended his looks and didn't go further than that. Pat smiled and nodded at all that was said, as if to say, that they all have spoken well and she was totally in agreement with what they sad.

The ladies were already having a swell time before is arrival, there were a lot of good things on their table. The different kinds of drinks ranging from the champagne, the red wine, the rum, the whiskey, vodka and others. This got Chase thinking whether one of them was having a birthday celebration. He could not hold back the question as he turned the bottle of champagne and had some of the content in his cup. The question he asked, was particularly on Pat and Lucy because he knew the date the twin sisters causally celebrate. The ladies laughed at his question, they knew that he didn't do wrong asking, anyone with his right senses would also assume so. The way they ordered drinks and fish, looking at the table, one would expect that more guests were still on the way. It was a table filled up with barbecued fish, meat, chips, assorted drinks etc. Lookout at the way they positioned themselves, and their body language, it doesn't seem that they had started.
