Chapter one hundred and eight

Davis wasn't expecting what came next. The moment Jaden saw him walk out of Kathryn's room, he walked up to him and gave him a hard punch on his face, which landed on his cheek, and that caused Davis to stagger.

"Damn you, Davis Coleman!" He seethed and Davis wiped his lips which his thumb. He could feel blood on his thumb the moment he grazed his lip. 

"That's for making Kathryn cry, asshole." 

Anna watched in surprise as she saw Jaden hit Davis on his face. Her eyes widened in shock and her hands immediately flew to her gaped mouth. She was stunned to see Jaden like this. She didn't know that Jaden was capable of hurting anyone.

"Who the fuck are you, man?" Davis asked, squaring up with Jaden. Jaden scoffed and looked away before he immediately looked at Davis again. 

"You wanna know who the fuck I am? Huh? Of course, you know who I am. I think you're just too numbskulled to remember." 

Davis was ready to throw Jaden a hard punch but Anna immediately came in between them.

"You wanna fight? Go ahead, you dickhead" Jaden yelled, not minding Anna's presence. 

"I'll show you who the fuck I am, shithead. You're a fucking asshole-"

"Enough!!!" Anna screamed. That seemed to work because silence followed after. 

"What in fuck's name is wrong with both of you? Do you think fighting yourselves like this is gonna make Kathryn happy? Christ! What has gotten into you, Jaden? If you really want to help Kathryn, you two will shut the fuck up and quit acting like kids fighting over candy." 

Anna didn't know how she was able to do that. She'd never used curse words like that before. She was however glad it worked. They were already messing with her mind.

Davis left, leaving only Jaden and Anna in the hospital. 

"I'm sorry, Anna. I- I don't know what came over me." Jaden said, after a few moments. "I think my emotions just got the better of me."

"You should learn to control your emotions, Jaden. It was as though I was seeing a completely different person." 

"I- I'm sorry."

"I think you should direct that to Kathryn instead." Anna rose and walked away from Jaden. She knew that she couldn't go in to see Kathryn, especially after what happened with Davis. She figured that Kathryn would want to be alone instead.

Anna immediately thought of Mr Williams. Where was Mr Williams? She was sure that he headed to the hospital when he left the company. She couldn't ask Kathryn where he was. That was the last thing she'd want to ask her. He didn't come back to the company also. Where was he?

Anna dialled his number which rang continuously but he didn't answer the phone. She decided to send him a text instead. She hoped that nothing was wrong with him. Anna suddenly felt her heart pulsating at the thought of him being in danger. She kept trying his number, hoping that he would pick up the call. She didn't know who else to contact about his whereabouts. 

Anna dialled his number again, and this time, he picked up. Anna almost felt her heart jump out of her chest.

"Mr Williams?"

"..." 

Silence followed and Anna's heart skipped a bit. What if he was kidnapped? She wouldn't be able to take it if something happened to Mr Williams. 

"Are you there? It's me, Anna. I've been trying to reach you for hours now. Can you hear me, Mr Williams? Where are you?"

Anna's heart thumped loudly in her chest for fear of the unknown.

"Hello, Mr Williams. P- Please, tell me you are alright. T- Tell me it's not what I'm thinking." Anna's voice quivered over the phone. 

"Anna...Are you crying?" Anna heard Xander's low voice over the phone and she immediately sighed as relief washed through her.

"Are you alright, Mr Williams? Where are you?" 

"Where I am?" He asked in a lazy tone that made Anna worried. 

"I am...where am I?" She heard Xander say again and this time, she was getting really nervous because his voice was faint. She heard a thud and her heart almost stopped dead.

The last thing she heard before the call disconnected was a sultry female voice.  

She'd said, "Freyman is no place for a beauty like this. What's he doing here?" 

Freyman? Mr Williams was in Freyman? Anna had heard about Freyman before. She knew that it was a tavern. She searched the map to find where it is and immediately flagged down a cab when she found it.
