Chapter 41: A New Live

After Simon's encounter with Melissa, he got back to his room with mixed feelings. He attempted sleeping but like his previous visit to his Lakeview apartment, he was unsuccessful once again. It was obvious he sleeps better at Kentleys Mansion. All his attempt to sleep that night proved abortive. In the absence of sleep, he started going through memory lane from the very first day he met Paige at Nathan's office to living with her in the same house.

His mind wandered to the last time he visited his sister at her home in Acubana. She had invited him to one of her close colleague's birthday which she insisted that he must attend with her. Who was he to refuse Anna kentley? Of course, he attended the party where he came across a Cartomencer who urged him to pick a card. It was a long tussle between him and the card reader. He refused and she insisted that he must. When he finally did. She told him after reading the card that he was going to find peace. And his peace was already close and she will make him whole. The Cartomancer had use the pronoun 'she' and this made him question her if the peace she was talking about was a woman and in return she told him; "When you see her, you will know because you'll be hopelessly in love. The events of that night still rang a bell in his head till this moment.

Though he doesn't believe in Cartomancy, yet he found himself wondering if Paige was the peace or if the peace was yet to come. If truly she is his peace, then he need self redemption because to him, Paige was perfect. Someone like him do not deserve an Angel like her. He remembered the few times they've spent together abd how happy both of them make each other. Right then, Simon decided to do away with his bad behaviors, turn a new live, start therapy and work on regaining himself. But the undeniable truth was that he needed someone by his side while walking through the difficult journey of self redemption. He needed Paige. There it is, it wasn't so hard to admit. He sure needed Paige and the next thing on his list suddenly turned to how to win her over.

At 4:26am, he left to carry out a round call on his men. The wounded ones have already been taken care of. But he needed to be sure that everybody was okay. After his round, he notified Charles that he'll be heading back to Creek Island and instructed him to see that Melissa leaves the house before the end of the day. He quickly went inside to dress up. Just like the other day, few minutes to the hour of five in the morning, he made his way back to Creek island.

It was 5:32am when he arrived the Kentley's Mansion. Quietly, he went up the staircase heading for his room. "Brother." Anna called startling him.

"What the fuck! Na! why are you here? Don't you sleep?" He asked her with a serious face.

"I need to talk to you." She replied.

"Were you waiting up for me? Did you hear me drive in? Cause what you just did is so creepy." He complained but she ignored him and drew him towards the drawing room to his study. Once they got to the door, she pointed at the lock waiting for him to unlock it. Simon brought out the bunch of key from his pocket and he opened the door. They stepped in, Anna closed the door securely and in turn sat down while Simon stood.

"We're leaving for Acubana today." She said.

"So?" Simon asked.

"The month ends today. Tell me you ain't paying for November Escort and you meant what you said when you told me that you'll start Therapy." She said in a calm and worried voice.

He looked at his sister who had worried lines on her face making her appear way older than she is. He felt blessed to have Anna by his side. She was his pillar and his biggest supporter. A sister who'd cross even the deepest ocean for him without thinking twice and of course he'd do the same for her over and over again. "There will be no November nor December nor any other month." Simon said with a low pitched voice. Though be wasn't so sure of what he just said, he was hopeful and he believe he could do it if he put his mind to it. On hearing him, Anna let out a breath of relief.

"Which of the sex therapist do you want me to book?" She asked. "I made a couple of research, there's a guy, Albert Wilson. He's like one of the biggest shots at the moment." She told him.

"I want a competent fellow that is not so popular and not so wealthy. Someone that will give it his best. Albert is out of it." He replied.

"Alright. I'll make some more research and I'll let you know what I come up with." She told him.

"There's no need for that." He said. "I'll make the research myself. It's time I become intentional with what I want."

Anna stood and went to him. She hugged her brother tearfully. "Thank you." She told him looking up at you.

"No, thank you Na. You've been my solid rock. I am extremely grateful." He replied.

"I'll be in my room then." She said moving to the door. "One more thing," she said stoping in her tracks while holding the door handle. "Your sister is here. She rushed home when she saw the news of Dasilver's death. I'm glad you're alive brother." She said smiling mischievously. She already know how much of a pain June was to him.

"The day is yet to start and it's promising to be terrible. Help me lord!" He exclaimed. Anna started laughing.

"I'll see you at breakfast and you'd better show up to avoid getting Emily worried."

"I'll be there." He replied.

Breakfast with the whole family was fun especially for Paige who have missed their continuous adorable use of sarcasm every now and then.

"We'll visit the beach, we'll go shopping and spa dates, the movies too and of course the waterfall." June said excitedly.

"Why are you telling us all this?" Simon asked uninterested. "Nobody cares really."

"Oh, you do care. I know you do." June replied.

"I think I need to rest. My head aches badly. Simon complained again.

"How do you feel exactly? Emily asked with concern written all over her face.

"I'm fine mum." He said trying not to get her worked up. "It's just a minor headache. I bet it will go with a mild analgesic."

"Did you sleep at all last night? Paige asked him.

"No." He replied looking at her. "And my not so little sister seem to have turned into a charter box over night making the headache unbearable." He complained bitterly gaining a eye roll from June.

"I might have something to help with the headache. I'll go get it for you from upstairs." Paige offered standing up.

"I think he should just follow you upstairs. You can give it to him when you guys go up. Then he should rest afterwards. I'll have the maids send your foods upstairs." Anna said.

"Perfect idea, except for the food. I just need to rest. I've eaten enough already." Simon replied standing up as well.

"Do you need help?" Paige asked.

"Of course not. I'm not crippled." He said laughing making Emily smile. She felt better now knowing that he wasn't down. Simon and Paige left for upstairs. "How did you guess right that I didn't sleep all through the night?" He asked Paige immediately the closed the door to the dining hall.

"I didn't have to do much. It was evident on your face. You look tired, exhausted and stressed out." She replied. Once they got to the door to her room, she proceeded to unlock it. "Just wait, I'll quickly get it." She told him.

"No," he replied a bit breathless. "I'm feeling dizzy. Could you bring it to my room instead? I need to lay down." He told her.

"Alright." She consented and went inside her room to get him a mild analgesic while he left for his room to lay down. Page quickly got the medication and headed straight to his room. She knocked softly on getting to his door.

"Come in Sunflower." He called. She entered inside and saw him sitting on the bed with his head in his palms.

"Take this." She gave him a tablet and helped him get a bottle water from the fridge. He took the medication and kept the remaining water on his bedside drawer.

"Thank you." He told her lying down on the bed.

"How do you feel now?" She asked sitting beside him on the bed.

"I'm fine, thank you." He replied.

"Catch some sleep then." She said having him nod.

"Can you sit and talk with me till I sleep?" Be asked her.

"Okay." She consented with a smile.
