Chapter 56: A Second Contract

Looking at the number of clothes, Paige wondered if he planned on extending their stay at Lakeview. She only needed a top and a short. But he sent a lot more. After much contemplation, she settled for a sky blue long sleeved shirt with a black short that appeared rather small and almost invincible under the shirt she had on. She smiled as she turned her ass towards the mirror. It was very obvious that she has added some reasonable weight, she needed it anyway. Prior to her arrival at Creek Island, she was so skinny and stressed. Fast forward to present, it is safe to say that she is living her best life, glowing, happy and horny as fuck!

She folded the rest of the clothes neatly and placed them in the wardrobe. Slipped her feet into a pair of slippers she found beside the wardrobe. The sudden buzz from her phone startled her as the wardrobe door hit her fingers. "Holy shit!" She exclaimed holding her hand in pain. She went to the bed and picked up the phone with the other hand. The caller was Anna Kentley.

"Anna." Paige called.

"Hey, Paige. It's been ages. I called earlier, you didn't pick up neither did you return my call . Is everything okay?" She asked with concern.

"Yes, everything is okay. I was kinda busy today. I'm sorry about that. Meanwhile, how are you? Girl, I've missed you all so much. It's so lonely without you." Paige told her.

"Okay, I know, I know, I know. People tell me that a lot. I guess y'all should change my name to the life of the party." Anna chuckled.

"Oh please!, How is Emily and June?"

"They are great. That is part of the reason I called though. I sent you a couple of dresses designed for you by 'Maily Allisson'. I need you to choose the one you love. It's for June's wedding." Anna said. "You might have to check them tonight because the wedding planner will need an answer before the end of tomorrow."

"Do you mean the Maily Allison? As in the fashion designer?" Paige asked shocked.

"Yes I do. You don't like her designs? We could look for someone else. I mean there are lots of designers who would be willing to work for us."

"What? Are you kidding me? I love her. I've been a fan of her work since ever. Her designs are so unique, classy and most of all expensive! Anna. How wo......."

"Simon is paying." Anna interrupted her. "And that's the least he could do after upsetting you and ruining your dress from the engagement. Do you know that Maily is not styling anybody else on the day of the wedding. So, we've got her full attention that day. She's styling just the two of us. Emily is a 'Beatrice Lowe' fan. They've been working together since I was twenty. Anna explained.

"I can't wait already." Paige said anxiously. "I will just go through the images and send my preferred design immediately. She told her.

"Alright, I'll be waiting. One more thing though. It's actually official. Simon asked me to draft out another contract. I figured you're aware of this right?"

"Yes." Paige replied in a low tone.

"And are you okay with it Paige. I mean if he's forcing you, threatening you or anything of that sort, you don't have to sign anything. I will personally pay off whatever it is you're owing him. Even if it means paying in installments." She said.

"He's not forcing me Anna. No threats too. He's a nice person." Paige replied.

"Okay. Do you need help with that money then? Do you want me to help?" Anna asked.

"No, do not disturb yourself. I'll pay. It's what any reasonble person should do. It's my responsibility. So please, do not worry yourself."

"Very well then. I'm not disputing anything you just said. But, promise me you'll let me know if you ever find yourself in any form of danger."

"I promise." Paige replied.

"Okay then. I guess I will send the contract to the house tomorrow. Meanwhile, I'm waiting for the design you chose.

"It's coming your way right now. She replied excitedly. "Hello, Anna." Paige called suddenly remembering something. "Will you attend the Tedson's Anniversary dinner?" Paige asked.

"I'm not so sure yet. I have this important business dinner that day. I might just drop by before heading home. Did he send you an invite?

"Not yet, but he's told me. I might get the invite tomorrow or next." She replied. "Let me send the stuff before we get carried away with other gists. Paige said with a smile before hanging up.

She checked her messages and saw the jaw dropping designs Anna sent to her.  She kept looking at them and was stunned. She finally settled for a long sleeve heavily stoned net dress with an inner linen. After sending her choice to Anna, She proceeded to reply a couple of messages from Frankie. She also called his phone and they spoke at length on practically his day, the anniversary dinner plans and finally he informed her that her outfit will arrive the Kentley's Mansion the following day. Towards the end of the call, her stomach growled so badly reminding her that she was indeed hungry. Immediately the call ended, she made her way to the dinning room for dinner.

She met Simon already settled at the table patiently waiting for her while going through his phone. Their food was already placed on the table and the sweet aroma made her salivate. The sound of Paige's feet on the floor caused Simon to shift his attention from the phone to the gorgeous woman coming towards the table. He stared shamelessly at her. From her face till his eyes settled on her thighs that were on full display. The shirt she had on covered her ass briefly and he couldn't help but let his imagination run wild. This is what Paige does to him. She makes him loose control of his emotions.

"Are you going to keep staring or are we going to eat?" Paige asked sitting down.

"You can't blame me." He replied dropping his phone on the dinning table. "No woman has ever worn my clothes. I never knew they would look this lovely on you. You should take my whole wardrobe Sunflower." He replied with his gaze fixed on her angelic face.

"You should work harder on your ability to filter words. It's becoming a necessity." She said in reply.

"I will keep that in Mind."

"So, what are we having for dinner?" Paige asked.

Simon nodded at the cook who was standing at the far end of the room. She walked up to the table to attend to them.

"What are we having?" Paige repeated the question looking at her.

"Plantain, omelette and chicken sauce with lots of green vegetables ma." The cook replied.

"Hmm, sounds yummy." Paige replied smiling at her.

"What is your name?" Simon asked the cook as he rested his back on the seat.

"Veronica Newman." The Cook replied.

"Are you married?" He asked again.

"Yes sir, with two kids." She replied bowing.

"Charles told me you're good. My last cook was a man and he relocated to another city. Hence my need for another one. I hope you will be efficient Mrs. Newman."

"Definitely sir, I'll do my job very well. Thank you so much for the opportunity." She bowed. Simon nodded and asked her to go ahead with the dishing out of their food. Once done, she left them to eat.

"Thank you Mrs. Newman." Paige greeted her.

"Thank you ma." The cook replied with smiles before leaving.

"How come you employed her without knowing much about her. You don't know about her marital status. Seriously!" Paige asked.

Simon smiled. "And who told you I would ever employ someone without knowing a thing about them. I know everything I need to know about her my Darling. Do not fret." He reassured her. Just then, Paige's stomach growled for the second time that night. This time around, it was loud enough to Simon's hearing. He looked at her with a concerned face. How could he not know that she was hungry. She had only the breakfast she took in the morning before they left Creek Island. So it was certain that she would be hungry. He cursed under his breath for boring her with his childhood stories. Paige looked up at him embarrassed. "Let's eat." Simon said giving her a bite from his plate.

"I can feed myself." She told him.

"Please." Simon pleaded still holding his fork. Paige smiled and took a bite from the fork.

"Thank you." She mouthed before diving into her food. "Why do you have too many chicken in your plate and I have just few pieces in mine." Paige complained.

"But there is chicken in yours as well."

"I should have more. Or we should share it equally.

"It's the same." Simon said laughing.

"No, it's not. You know what? Let's swap our food. You take mine and give me yours." She offered.

"And why would I do that?" He asked smiling.

"Now, there it is. I caught you right there. My father once told me that every man is suppose to make sure that the woman they are dining with is comfortable and satisfied with their meal first before thinking of themselves.
