"What do you want Simon?" Paige asked him. She'd be lying If she said she doesn't feel the connection between them and she honestly needed him to state what he really want from her.
They were cut short by Simon's phone. He picked it up and saw Nelson's name on the screen. "I'm sorry, I have to take this, it's Nelson." He told Paige before moving away to answer the call. "Hello, Nel." He called after picking up his phone. "I thought you've disappeared. I almost sent a search party for you. It's good to know that you're still alive man. Where are you wasting your wealth now?" He asked.
Nelson laughed hilariously. "I could almost say the same for you man. But I just remembered that you have an angel at your home. Paige is enough to keep you company, happy and healthy especially." Nelson replied. "Meanwhile, is she available now? Can I shoot my shot now."
"What's up with the loud music Nel. Where the fuck are you?" He asked ignoring Nelson's last question.
"Hahahahaha, I'm having the time of my life dude. I'm just out here having fun with some hot ass chicks. Yolo my friend. What more can I say?" Nelson replied.
"Where are you?" Simon asked him.
"Ever heard about a small town called Anthill in Pernian city? Well, that's my location. It's kinda fun right here. Their women are great and so submissive. You should come." Nelson shouted into the phone and the background music grew louder.
"Yeah, I've heard about Anthill a couple of times. Look, I'm very busy man. I do not have time to be drunk." Simon said.
"So typical of Simon Kentley. Always busy. You do not know what you're missing though. I actually wanted to ask man, do we still have a wedding next week or has it by any chance been postponed?" Nelson asked still in a high pitched voice.
"June's wedding is still next week man. So get your ass down here as fast as you can. And please, go home. You sound high as fuck. You need to rest.
"I hear you, I hear you man. I'll see you at Creek Island soon and tell my Angel Paige that I'll get her a lovely pres....." Simon hung up before he could complete the last sentence. As strange as it sounded, the mere mention of Paige's name by Nelson made him cringe. He went back to the side lounge.
"How is he? Is he okay." Paige asked opening her eyes which she'd shut close earlier as she enjoyed the chilly wind.
"He's very okay. He sends his regard. Let's go on a Lunch date tomorrow Sunflower." He repeated himself. A harmless date." He stressed. "We can go back to Creek Island after or we could come back here and stay till weekend. There are lots of fun centers you might want to explore here."
"A date? I don't think it's a good idea. Besides, I don't have a spare dress perfect for a date." She told him
"Just say yes Sunflower. I'll sort out the rest before you wake up tomorrow." He replied.
"Yes to what exactly?"
"Yes to going on a date with me, coming back to Lakeview afterwards and staying right here till weekend." He pleaded.
"Frankie Tedson invited me to his parents anniversary dinner over the weekend. I can't stay here till weekend as well. Not when we'll be at each other's face all the time. It's a tempting offer, if one considers the weather, scenery and fun. But no, I'll pass. Maybe we can always visit some other time." She replied. "Ain't you going to the Anniversary dinner. I thought the Kentleys were invited."
Simon swallowed hard. "I'll accompany you then." He replied. "I promise not to be a bother nor get in your way once we get there. Can we at least have lunch tomorrow then. Just eat, look around and go home. No hidden motive I promise."
Paige sat up looking sideways at Simon. He looked sad and bruised. All features of the strong, arrogant, fierce Simon she knew before now was gone. "Okay." She finally replied. "I need to rest now. I'll just go to bed. You coming?" She asked him.
"Uhhmm, not yet. You can go ahead. I'll see you tomorrow. Good night." He bid her.
"Good night" she replied standing up. She left for her room with Simon's gaze tailing her. Once out of view, he hit his fist on the lounge chair. Why in god's name is Tedson in his way. Just when he thought he was making great progress. He picked up his phone and called Charles. "Meet me at the side lounge." He spoke into the phone. Barely a minute later, Charles walked up to him.
"Good evening Boss." He greeted and received a nod from Simon.
"How is the security tonight?"
"Everything is taken care of. There is privacy and everywhere is secured as well." He replied earning another nod from Simon.
"Check for Paige's home address. She once had a neighbor called Alexa whose boyfriend attempted killing her. Pay the boyfriend a friendly visit and tell him it's from Simon Kentley on behalf of Paige Patterson." He instructed." He should get the message after that. I want to know more on Stefan Riley's current location and what he's up to as well. What about the guy from the restaurant. Has he spoken yet?" Simon asked.
"He mentioned the Reuben's boss. The daughter." Charles replied. "Should we send her a message?" Charles asked.
"No, I'll deal with that little midget myself. Do what you have to do. I do not want her to hear a word of it. Did I make myself clear?"
"Yes Boss." Charles replied.
"You can go Charles. That's all. Charles nodded and left to check on the guards. "Hello, is this Peter Chadwick?" Simon spoke into his phone after dialing a number. "You should know me. We've been in contact via mail. My name is Simon Kentley and I'd love to start my sessions by Monday." He paused and listened to the receiver's reply before hanging up. Starting therapy was something he already made up his mind to do. If he wanted to be with someone as perfect as Paige, then he needed to work on himself so as to meet a standard and therapy is one of the few steps he ought to take.
**************
Paige made her way to the bedroom with sheer exhaustion. She didn't get to explore the house and it's surroundings as much as she wanted but she hoped they will still come back some other time. When Simon suggested spending the whole week here and leaving by weekend, she was thrilled with the idea but then she gave it a second thought and realized that it wasn't the best thing to do. There was no denial of the attraction they feel for each other. Personally she needed space, needed to be away from him at least for a while. So as to think properly. Being close to Simon strips her of the ability to think straight. She always end up being drawn to him. All she could think about is either his lips, or his hands grabbing her naked ass or being wrapped up in his strong arms. She sighed as she closed the blinds and switched off the bulbs fixed to the walls making the bedside lamp the only source of light in the room.
She quickly tied her hair up in a messy bun seeing that she didn't come with her satin hair bonnet. Minutes later, she lay down on the soft cotton sheet staring wide eyed at the beams of the ceiling above her reminiscing on how her day went.
She closed her eyes and Simon's face surfaced in her mind. Her eyelids flew open immediately. She reached over and switched off the bedside lamp putting the room in total darkness. The plan was to sleep once she enter the room but unfortunately, sleep was far from her. When she finally found little solace in sleep, she fell into a deep dream where she was chased relentlessly by a man who she didn't see the face for fear of being caught by him. She ran tirelessly until she slipped and fell down. The unrecognized man caught up with her leaning close to her body. She attempted to scream but no sound came out from her because her lips were captured in a kiss before she could make a sound. He sucked, searched and moved his tongue over hers as he explored her mouth. Soft moans and pleasurable cries escaped her parted lips as she lost herself to his touches. She traced her hands up to his face and suddenly, she couldn't feel him again.
She turned immediately, yet she saw no one. The shock and fear of loosing him woke her up. Her body dripped with sweat in spite of the air conditioner. It was just a dream but it felt so real. It left her aching and craving for more that she felt like shedding a tear. The time was twenty two minutes past the hour of five in the morning. Not trusting herself enough not to go back to her dreams, she decided to stay up and get busy with her reading app while she waited for dawn.
