AUTHOR'S NOTE.
I just realized from a review that I repeated some lines in the previous chapter. I am so sorry about this. Kindly recheck the previous chapter (CHAPTER 94). It's been completely updated. Thank you all so much for keeping up with the story. Much love.
Someone said in the review section that Paige will definitely end up with Simon and I'm like how is this person so sure about this. When Paige is actually a CONFUSED human!
*****************************************
"And who is the pot?" She asked again. "You'd better not say that I'm the one cause I will fight you if you dare call me a pot." Paige warned making Simon laugh uncontrollably.
"I've missed you sunflower." He suddenly said cutting Paige short. She smiled painfully realizing that it's been a while she was this free and happy. Simon was the only one who could make her feel this way. Who could make her feel this happy and free.
"I'm sorry." She said not knowing what to say anymore. It was so stupid of her to think that everybody is like Simon. In fact, it was so stupid of her to think that Frankie could measure up to Simon. How could she describe this man perfectly enough. He is gentle, kind, caring, thoughtful, patient and she thought of the next word to use, "accommodating?" She asked herself. "Oh no, Simon was anything but accommodating. She recalled the first day she arrived Kentley's mansion. He literally asked her not to mess up his porch with her excess luggage. So, accommodating was out of the question for her. Maybe it will be included by someone else who has a different definition of the word accommodation.
"Are you still there?" Simon asked interrupting Paige's thoughts.
"Yes, I'm right here." Paige replied. "Did you say something?" She asked.
"You weren't listening. Is something wrong? Do you need help with anything?" He asked worried. "What's making you think so deeply?"
"I'm fine Simon, nothing is wrong. Everything is okay. I was just wondering if you will forgive me for the way I trea...ted you and the things I s.....aid to you." She stammered. "I don't know what came over me. I was stupid for a moment and I regret my actions. Can you forgive me? Can we be friends still?" She requested.
"Hmmm, let's see." Simon replied. "How about I think about it?" He asked with a smile obviously pulling her legs.
"I.... I.. that will be fine." She told him in a sad voice. "It's okay if you decide to think. I just hope you forgive me really." She added.
"Okay, I will think about it and get back to you." He said feigning seriousness.
"Are you coming back today?" She asked wishing he could say yes. Hearing his voice just made her realize how much she missed him. How much she missed his laughter, his cute face, his smiles, jokes, straightforwardness and honesty. She missed teasing him and hearing him praise her and admire her non-stop. He makes her feel so feminine and beautiful and while she is still scared of having or starting a relationship with him, she was sure that he can and is willing to give her almost everything she want in a man. Simon literally adores her, he could lick her up if she wanted him to. The only thing that scares the shit out of her was the fact that he comes from a not so stable home and had a hostile father who battered his wives.
It is so true that Simon hasn't laid a finger on her before. But, his anger was something to be watchful and concerned about. She have seen Simon angry and it was not a beautiful sight. And she believes that with such anger, he might end up like his father in the nearest future and this was something that have kept tugging on her mind. This was part of the reason she decided to explore other options. A child that watched his father kill his mother needs more than just therapy for move pass the trauma.
"Sunflower." Simon called her after few seconds of silence. "Those few days without you were hectic for me. I literally broke down emotionally. It made me wonder at what point I became so attached to you cause the truth is that I can't really point out when I became so attached to you. I love you, I'm very serious. I've told you that you don't have to love me right now. Just allow me to prove myself to you. That is all I really ask of you. Just a chance and the benefit of doubt. You can give me a time span. If at the end of such time I'm unable to make you fall in love with me, you can......"
"Stop Simon." Paige interrupted with a whisper. "I'm not giving you any time or ultimatum. This is not like the movies." She said with a smile. "You are a very nice man and I do not take everything you've done for me for granted. And you have nothing to prove to me. We are two adults who seem to have feelings for each other. I'm so scared of the things I feel on my own that at times I try to run away from what I feel. The feeling is so strong that it scares me at times. Simon, there is no need for any ultimatum. Let's do it together, lets explore these feelings, our feelings together." She said to Simon's surprise. "Are you ready?" She asked.
"Ever before now." He responded happily.
"So, what were you doing with Fiona?" She asked changing the topic completely to something different.
"What? We are back at Fiona again?" He asked surprised and laughing hilariously.
"You thought I've forgotten, did you?" She asked.
"I thought we've settled it already." He replied with a big smile. "I was just telling her to stop disturbing and stalking us." That was all. "Not to worry, She will definitely not disturb us ever again. I warned her enough." He told her smiling.
"You know, when I think of it, It makes me wonder why you are suddenly happy whenever I mention Fiona's name." Paige said feigning anger.
"Are you serious right now. You sound so jealous already and that is not the Paige I know." He added making Paige smile.
"And you are never jealous are you?" She asked.
"What? Who told you that. You have no idea how many times I thought of killing Tedson. How many execution styles I pictured in my head just for him. You seriously have no idea Sweetheart." He told her.
Paige cleared her throat sharply. "About Frankie," she started. "I'm seriously......"
"It's fine Sunflower, It's not necessary." He cut her short.
"No," Paige replied "it is necessary. You need to know, you deserve an explanation for my razz behavior Simon.
"You apologized already." He said. "And honestly, that is all I want at the moment. If you insist that you want to explain something I really don't care about, then I'll be happy to listen to your explanation next time. Probably when I come home. For now, I'm just happy to have my friend back." Simon said to her surprise.
"Where are you?" She asked "I asked earlier if you'll be back today but you gave no answer. Are you at Lakeview?"
"If I were at Lakeview, would you love to join me?" He asked with a smile."
"Yes, but I can't leave Emily with Anna." She replied hurriedly. "Are you at Lakeview then?" She asked again.
"I'm at Galvile." He replied.
"Galvile." She repeated. "Where is that and why are you there?"
"It's a small village located outside Yardstin. I own a small ranch over here. I just wanted to see how the caretaker is taking care of things over here and to have some quietness and rest a little as well if possible." He replied.
"You wanted to move away from me?" She asked in a downcast voice.
"Of course not. How can you say that. If I can and if you want me to, I'd never stay far from you for too long." Simon said.
"Simon, always truthful and straight to the point." Paige said laughing.
"The last time I checked, you didn't like that part of me so much." He said scratching his head. "I'm working on it sweetheart. It's just so hard when you're the one I'm answering to." He confessed.
"Oh yeah," Paige said. "So you answer to me now. That's good to know. Does that mean you'll do as I say then?"
"Anything for you sweetheart. Anything you say goes." He replied laughing. "And you'd better not be naughty cause I'll definitely not pay heed to your request." He warned her happily.
"I want you here." She said. "I want you back at Creek Island. I miss teasing you." She smiled. "So, I want you back at Creek Island today." She commanded smiling happily.
"Could you shift it to Thursday please. I already have my plate full with activities today and tomorrow." He formed a plea.
"Ummm, okay. Just because you asked nicely. She told him as both of them laughed uncontrollably.
"Thank you so much Sunflower. For this call. You just blessed my day. I love you." He said and hung up immediately before she could reply
