Sherman knocked gently on Simon's door and waited patiently for a response.
"Is there a problem?" Simon asked opening the door.
"Good morning sir." Sherman greeted standing straight. "Did you sleep well sir?" He asked.
"And how is that any business of yours?" Simon fired back at him.
"I'm sorry, I was......"
Why are you here Sherman?" He asked impatiently interrupting Sherman.
"Your mother requests your presence at the dinning hall sir." Sherman replied.
"Is there a problem?" Simon asked again.
"I don't think so sir." Sherman replied.
"Okay then, let her know that I'll join her in few minutes. Anything else?" He added seeing that Sherman was still standing.
"It's Miss Paige sir. Your mother requested for her presence too but the maid reported back to me that her room is locked and she is not answering the door. I decided that it was best to let you know first before alerting anyone else." Sherman explained.
"You did well Sherman." Simon praised him. "I will check up on her and let her know. Now can you stand properly and stop standing like a tree." He said humorously.
Sherman smiled and adjusted his posture. "Yes sir. Thank you." He replied happily before heading back to the dinning hall.
"Who was that?" Paige asked once Simon closed the door.
"Sherman." He replied. "My mum is requesting for our presence at the dinning hall." He said sinking onto the bed."
"Is everything okay?" She asked putting on one of the shirts she found in Simon's wardrobe.
"I guess so. We have a full house, maybe she want us to join the whole family." He shrugged standing up as he walked to her . "Are you up for it. I can make up an excuse for you if you don't feel like it." He said grabbing her waist.
"And have Emily worry sick about me? No. I'll go." She said. "Since I've taken a shower, I'll just quickly change into something more appropriate." She said.
"Alright. But you'd better not remove that shirt cause it looks so good on you." He giggled planting a kiss on her neck while Paige bent her head to the side. "Mmmm, coconut oil right?" He asked sniffing her hair with eyes closed.
"Mhmm, you like?" Paige asked snuggling closer into his warm embrace."
"Yes." He replied. "Are you ready?" He asked releasing her slightly. He picked up a tee shirt from his wardrobe and threw it over his singlet adjusting his trouser as well.
"Ready how? I need to visit my room young man." Paige giggled. "Wearing your shirt downstairs is like making an announcement that we are seeing each other." She explained.
"And, aren't we?" He asked now holding her in a hug.
"We sure are." Paige replied turning to face him. " But, there are better ways to let them know." She told him touching his cheeks which had Simon lean towards her hand. "We'd tell them when we are ready darling." She said. "There is no need to rush." She added kissing him on the lips. Simon returned the kiss as they sucked licked and nibbed on each other's lips for a few minutes. "God knows I'm getting used to all the touching, kisses and fondling. I want all of it. I love it all." She said jokingly.
"You want all the attention?" Simon asked with a smile.
"All of it Darling. Every bit if it. I want to be your Baby for as long as you will have me." She chuckled.
"Let me see." he said making a thinking face "that should be like forever. Hope you are ready?" He asked kissing a side of her lips. "Cause I want you to be the center of my attention. I want to make you happy. As funny as it sound, I have this feeling of satisfaction each time I see you happy." He told her drawing her head to this chest and kissing her forehead.
"The feeling is mutual." She replied intertwining her fingers with his. "Let's go get my clothes from my room" she spoke in the softest voice Simon have ever heard.
"Sure." He replied breaking their hug with their fingers still intertwined together. They left for Paige's room which was located on the same corridor as his. Simon stood inside and waited while she changed into a black cotton gown we with a mini sleeve. Brushed her hair and packed it up in a bun. Applied a dash of lip balm on her lips before leaving for downstairs with Simon.
The dinning hall was already full with everyone sitted comfortably. There were three empty seats waiting to be occupied by Simon and Paige. One of the seats was beside Anna, one was Simon's which was located at the head of the table and the other one at the extreme. Immediately Simon and Paige stepped into the dinning hall, Anna signaled Paige to come and sit beside her which she did.
"Good morning everyone." Paige greeted as she sat down. Simon also took his seat at the head of the table. "Good morning everyone." He greeted. "Gracia, ma'am." He nodded towards Gracia and her mother who acknowledged his greetings with happy smiles. Once settled, Simon turned to his mother. "Mum, hope there is no problem? Sherman informed me that you sent for me." He asked looking at Emily.
"There is no problem at all son." Emily replied. "Your sister informed me that you've eaten with Paige. But I just wanted the both of you present at least to greet, meet and welcome our visitors." She said in reply.
"The both of you can just eat very little food since you are full." Bridget said in an attempt to encourage them to eat.
Simon looked at Paige who shrugged her shoulders showing that she didn't mind. June and Gracia caught sight of the look Simon gave Paige. June smiled inwardly while Graciae frowned.
"Let's eat then." Simon said. At this, two of the maids proceeded to serving him and Paige.
"A little will do." Paige told the maid who was serving hey. The maid scooped a small portion of the mushroom soup for her and left. Once done, Simon and Paige proceeded to eating. Taking a bite of the food, Paige let out an inaudible moan as the soup tasted better than any mushroom soup she's ever had."
"You like it?" Bridget asked smiling.
"I do." Paige replied taking another sip of the soup. "It's very tasty." She replied.
"Thank you so much." Bridget beamed with happiness at the fact that her soup was complimented.
"You cooked the soup?" Gracia asked finally speaking for the first time at the table. She turned her gaze towards Paige and gave her a cold stare.
"I did." Bridget replied.
"Oh my god! It taste great. You should teach me how to make this. Cause this is some good mushroom soup you have here. The best I've ever had." She added.
"I sure will. We will make out time to teach you." Bridget told her.
Simon cleared his throat pausing the ongoing conversation. "Aunt Bridget, the food is tasty, thank you. Now can we make a toast to the soon to be bride. June Kentley." He said raising a glass. Everybody except June followed suit with their glasses. June blushed happily.
"Thank you brother." She mouthed smiling uncontrollably.
"Cheers to a happy married life Darling sister." Simon announced.
"Happy married life." Everybody said as they clicked their glasses together. June picked up her own glass and joined them. Once they were done, everybody settled down happily.
"I'm so happy for you June." Gracia said to June who nodded and mouthed her thank you's. Anna smiled and gave her sister an air hug since the dinning table was a form of barricade for them. While Paige blew her a kiss. Bridget who she was sitted close to surprisingly tapped her softly on the shoulder all smiles.
"I'm happy for you." She genuinely told her.
"Thank you." June replied smiling.
"Congratulations June." Jack who was sitted beside Emily said with his tiny voice.
"Oh, thank you Jack, thank you so much everyone, thank you brother. This meant a lot to me. Thank you everyone. I am very grateful." June said in high spirits.
"Where are you going for your honeymoon?" Gracia asked excitedly.
"Oh, I don't know yet. I am so indecisive. I'm yet to make up my mind. Maybe we'll start with his choice. I might get an inspiration for mine while we are at it." She said.
"Mhmmm, I understand. You can consider coming to Baltimore. There are lots of fun places and lovers nest there. Simon enjoyed it the last time he visited, Anna too. Right Anna?" Gracia asked. Seeing Simon and Paige walk in earlier she felt the connection between them and couldn't help but notice the way they kept staring at each other. Anna had told her just few months ago when she visited Baltimore that Simon was single to stupor and this was one of the reasons she wanted to attend June's wedding. She wanted an opportunity to sell her self to Simon. To make him see her. So, if ruining whatsoever this plain looking girl sitted opposite her felt she had with him was the only option to get his attention, then she was ready to do just that.
