Today we lost a hero. A good man who saved the lives of millions of innocent people. A man who brought together a small team of humans and other creatures of the universe to fight for our right to a peaceful life. If it weren't for him Loki would have taken over New York and maybe the whole planet. The Mandarin would have used Starks weapons to kill thousands of civilians. Thanks to him the casualties were numbered. In the end, he sacrificed his life doing what he loved.
Everyone had gone home from the battlefield safely to greet their loved ones. Sakura brought Nari back to Asgard after she formally introduced herself as a non-threat to Earth. Her help brought peace to her people. Stark's Funeral only took a week of preparation. In order to attend, Sakura had returned to New York to share in Parker's grief. Wearing a simple plain sleeveless black dress and a gold necklace she knocked on Peter's door. He soon answered wearing his black suit. His eyes are red, swollen to the touch. Looks like he may have not slept for a couple of days.
"You came..."
Sakura gave Peter a hug to comfort him during these hard times,"Of course." She entered the apartment directly in the living room.
The living room is attached to the kitchen which is hidden by a doorway on the left. Bedrooms are straight forward built next to each other. A mini dining room is in place by those bedrooms temporarily. Many boxes have been piled up in corners full of personal belongings. All the furniture including the couch wasn't moved yet. Kitchen appliances have been packed away in crates with none perishable food. From where she stands Aunt May is packing photographs and framed rewards given to Peter Parker for all this hard work.
"Peter, who's at the door?" Aunt May asked.
"May I want you to meet, Sakura. She's the one I told you about..." Peter said.
"Peter told me a lot about you. You're originally from Earth, so welcome home."
"Thank you," Sakura smiled.
Every Avenger and their families came to attend Tony Stark's Funeral inside Pepper's lake house. A few Avengers made speeches. The most heartbreaking piece is to see Tony's young daughter hiding behind her grieving mother. No one had anything bad to say about the brilliant Tony Stark. When everyone was done saying a few words Pepper brought out Tony's Arc Reactor displayed in a case within a bouquet of colorful summer flowers. She wanted to say her final goodbye in the only way she knew how. By sending the Arc Reactor to float in the lake. The entire group walked outside to the pier starting with Pepper and Morgan.
Single filed family's were grouped together watching the final part of the ceremony. Sakura stood beside Thor during the ceremony. Legally he is the only family she has left. The sun was high in the sky. Not a single gust of wind blew by. Only tears to moist the grass at their feet. The funeral ended in Stark's first reactor floating over a large pond. The crowd dispersed to different groups before taking off to wherever their future holds for them. Saying goodbye to one another as if it will be the last time they ever see each other.
The two Asgardians knew what path they wanted to take in life now the Avengers are disbanded yet again. Sakura followed Thor back to a large spaceship parked by the side of the road. A couple of the Avengers had chased her down to speak with her. Peter was the first to come close to getting her attention while Thor was busy chatting up a storm with the Guardians.
"Are you leaving already?" Peter whimpered.
"I have to go home to my people, but I won't be gone long. I am still a Queen after all. I must attend to my new homeland."
"I expect to hear from you soon. Come over so we can spend some time together, and I can teach you how to live on Earth."
"I'd like that. See you around, Peter Parker."
The two left for New York in Aunt Mays' small car she had parked on the other side of the road. Parking the large ship made it difficult for others to park nearby. Luckily not all of them need a vehicle to travel. Behind them appeared Doctor Strange wearing his usual worried look across his face whenever he speaks to her. Sakura tilted her head in curiosity. She wasn't expecting him to face her after the war was over. He was speechless at first, and managed to say a few vowels. He babbled what were supposed to be words in a sentence, but he didn't know how to say them.
I'm sorry I can't speak today."
Sakura giggled, "What brings you to me, Doctor Stephen Strange?"
"Don't hesitate to ask if you need my help. You are the first civilization from another planet to come live here on Earth. I know how hard it is to adjust to a new lifestyle, so I am here for you if you need me."
"Thank you, Strange. I'll keep that in mind."
"You can call me Stephen."
"Thank you, Stephen."
Behind Stephen, Wong opened a portal for the two of them to walk through. The final person in line cautiously joined her. She is revealed to be the Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff. The woman whose parents were once Witches and Warlocks before they died. A long family line or so Sakura has been told. Her black outfit dulled her orange hair in some way or another. She stood beside her and held Sakura's hand to greet her properly.
"You haven't been with us long, but I'm sorry you lost your husband too."
"Thank you. Did you lose someone too?"
"Oh, right, you didn't know him. Vision and I were in love and ran away together. He was murdered for the mind stone implanted in his forehead. He was a synthetic being, but I loved him nonetheless."
"He murdered my husband, and a majority of my people he slaughtered in cold blood. Innocent mothers and children. Husband's sacrificed for a battle that was never meant to be won, but to buy us enough time to escape."
"You and I are the same. My days of fighting are long over. I wish you the best of luck, and I hope we see each other again.
"I'd like that."
Thor called out to her, "Sakura, let's go. We're leaving."
Inside the aircraft is mostly metal and steam. Some food and supplies from other planets, but that's just about it. They flew back to New Asgard in silence. Everyone lost someone important to them. Quil won't stop staring at a picture of Gamora knowing she was out there somewhere alone. No one exchanged any words within the short few hours of the trip.
When it docked by the cliff Thor had made his final preparations to leave when Sakura returned to her small cottage by the ocean with her son. Nari was playing with the other children outside as she stayed behind in the house. She watched Thor standing by a nearby. Sakura felt she had to speak to him, so she stepped to see his sad old wounded face.
"What is it, Thor?"
"Before we left Asgard, Loki and I settled upon an agreement."
"Hard to believe."
"Well, yes, but I wanted the two of you to take care of our people as King and Queen. Now it's just you, Queen Sakura."
"You and I are very much alike. Now that Loki is gone I'd rather not do this anymore. Too much responsibility for one person with a child to bare. I need a break for awhile to figure out what I want to do with my life after all this. Give this job to the valkyrie girl. She deserves to lead her people for her years of service."
"As you wish. I also came to same conclusion. As you stay on Earth I will travel to space and protect our realms from extraterrestrial threats."
"You don't have a ship."
"No, but I have a ride. Raising your son can't be all you have planned."
"Tony mentioned when he traveled through the Quantum Realm to New York back in 2012 plan failed, allowing Loki to steal it and vanish. He's still alive."
"If he truly is alive he is traveling past the farthest star to find you. In the meantime I want you to meet someone while your time here on Earth is limited."
"I am not surprised that the universe has more stories to tell. Who is this person you speak of?"
"His name is Druig, he is part of a group of heroes known as the Eternals. They were sent here on a mission long ago. I used to drink with some of his friends. If anyone can teach you about this planet it's them."
"What mission?"
"It's a long story meant to be told by the Eternal's themselves. Druig will be here any day now, but now I must leave before the rabbit leaves me behind."
"He's a racoon," Sakura laughed.
"Good luck, Sakura. I will see you again someday."
For now the family said their goodbyes as if they are leaving from a holiday vacation. Sakura moved to her little cottage selfishly sulking. Peter Parker taught her to use a cellphone, so he's been texting her about this vacation he has planned. If it weren't for her duties here she probably would have stayed with him. Her son is happily enjoying his time with friends and teachers for a short time before the world needs her again.
Valkyrie entered her home and called out to her. She gave no response. Not even a noise to alert she was home. She entered her bedroom to see Sakura sitting on her bed wearing her robes. Her head is facing the window to her left. A blank stare as if she wasn't there anymore.
"The Asgardian people look up to me, but why do I still feel so alone. At night I feel my heart racing and I can't breathe."
"My Queen, you need a break. You've been cooped up here much too long. Go outside and bathe under the sun."
Nick Fury steps in removing his glasses, "Great idea, how about a trip to Venice?"
Sakura touched her shoulder, "Please keep an eye on my son. I have business to take care of elsewhere. He will understand if you are blunt."
"Yes, my Queen."
The Valkyrie girl had walked herself out of the room and closed the door behind her. The room was silent, but people were screaming with joy outside. A horrible gut feeling nauseated Sakura. Something felt wrong, but she couldn't describe this tingly sensation. She checked her phone for any new messages from Peter, but none have been sent. Nick Fury sits on a nearby cushioned chair to begin his short convincing conversation.
"You have a nice place here."
"Why are you here?"
"I was in the neighborhood."
"What do you need me for?"
"I am here to bring you to another threat to humanity."
"Why me?"
"Why all these questions? We're wasting daylight. Let's go. I'll give you details on the way to Venice."
"Okay," Sakura sighed. She gestured to the exit of her home.
Together the two sat in a large black car, and leather interior seats. Nick drove to a private hanger in Bergen where a number of men and women in black suits stood by waiting for Fury to return. He drove by his small private aircraft to park inside his weapon grade airplane cover. Fury and Sakura entered to sit down first. All the agents came in after them for protection purposes. His agents are obedient and loyal. No one speaks unless they are spoken too. Except for Sakura, she loves to start and end a conversation by all means necessary.
"Why am I here, Fury?"
"A week ago a village in Mexico was wiped out by a cyclone made of sand. Some say the cyclone had a face. Three Days later a similar event in Morocco occurred. A beast who looked like a hurricane destroyed an entire village. These attacks are what we believe to be another world wide threat. We know the next attack will occur in Venice."
"How do you know?"
"We found a new superhero who has been fighting these Cyclones from day one. His name is Quentin Beck. I am hiring you and Spider-Man as back up, but that kid keeps fucking dodging my calls."
"Wait, but Peter said he was going on a trip to Venice. You tricked him to come because he didn't answer your calls. Couldn't you take a hint he didn't want to hear from you."
"Last time I checked after I had vanished for five years all the Avengers died or retired. You two would have been the last I called."
"Peter is only a child; he's not ready for this. All he wants is to have a normal childhood."
"He should have thought of that before putting on that suit."
The plane landed on another private airplane hangar. She was brought to a hidden facility underground. Fury had business elsewhere, so he wasn't there to introduce her to everybody. Heavy machinery are stacked by brick walls covered in tarps. They have an entire operation going on. A man holding a loaded heavy gun is polishing it while he sits in silence. Maria Hill is standing by a computer typing away as are the other agents. Directly in front of her is a man in a long red cape. His suit glows blue in some spots around his large tough chest armor. He has a rough scruffy beard and nice gelled hair. He turned to face her and shook her hand.
"Hey, you must be the Queen of Asgard, Sakura. My name is Quentin Beck."
"Nice to officially meet you."
"So once a Queen of Asgard has now joined in Spider-Man's footsteps."
"He's been a good friend of mine for a long time. Five years if you count the five years half of the planet lost."
"That's good to hear. When the crew comes back I'll explain everything."
"Am I late for the fight?"
"No, but we did have an incident earlier. I drove it away from the canals and destroyed the beast. Your Spider-Man did great work out there doing his best to keep the buildings from collapsing while I lured it away from the canals. He took a few hits, but he made it out alive."
"I hope this doesn't take long. I am expecting a guest soon at my residence."
A vibrant projected map woke up in the center of the room. A map of the world and specific spots are pointed out. As if they are world wide targets. Sakura did not like the look of this. She had already so much on her mind. A few voices caught her attention in the entrance of the cave. It appears Fury has returned with Peter Parker from the hotel he was staying in nearby. Peter is wearing his full suit as he entered.
This small damp room is connected to the canals of the city. Despite being made of brick water drips in from the ceiling above them causing some permanent damage to the equipment. Mounds of chests armed with weapons and supplies are placed in random locations around the room. Peter steps in this small space after walking in through a brick hallway. His face looks like he's seen better days.
"Right this way," Fury said, leading Peter inside, "You don't have to wear the mask here. I promise you this place is safe."
Peter removed his mask and smiled brighter than ever, "Wow."
"There we have Maria Hill. She is my assistant working on controlling the press and police at the moment. That we have Demetri, he's a private gunner I hired, and you already know, Sakura, Queen of what was Asgard."
Peter faced her looking at the same old costume she's had for over five years, "You're still wearing the suit Tony made for you."
"I love learning about the magical places of this world. The more I learn the more powers I gain and the stronger I become. I am trying to keep up with all this technology and geography. This planet is a bit chaotic for my taste."
"You'll get used to it, I promise. Thank you for being here."
"I wasn't going to let you do this alone. I'm sorry about your vacation."
"It's fine."
Fury interrupted, "I'd like to introduce you to Beck. He's the brains of our operation here."
Beck once again after fiddling with the projector turns to face Peter. He has a smile on his face, but he is calm and collected. Sakura moved out of the way so they could properly introduce each other. Beck turned his entire body to face the famous Peter Parker and shake his small young adult hands.
Peter whispered, "Mysterio?"
"What?"
"Doesn't matter, it's just what my friends call you."
"Well you can call me Quentin. You handled yourself well out there. I saw what you did with the tower. We could use someone like you in my world."
"Thanks. Wait, you're world."
"He is claiming to be part of another universe. We are part of a multiverse." Sakura said.
"Beck's from Earth, but not from our Earth." Nick Fury stated.
"I thought this was theoretical. This completely changes how we understand the initial singularity. We are talking about an internal inflation system-"
"Okay, Peter." Sakura giggled, rubbing his back.
"Sorry, it's really cool."
"Don't ever apologize for being the smartest person in the room." Beck said.
Hill changed the projection from her computer, "Anyway..."
Beck started the conversation, "They were born in stable orbits in black holes creatures from the primary elements. Air, Fire, Earth, and Water. The science department had a technical name for them, but we just call them Elementals."
"Versions of them exist in Mythologies." Hill added.
"Turns out they are real." Sakura said.
"Thor was a myth and now I study him in my physics class." Peter said.
"They first materialized on my earth many years ago and with each battle they grew stronger. I was part of the last battalion to fight them. All we did was delay the inevitable." Beck said.
"The Elementals are here now. They are attacking the same coordinates. Satellites confirm it." Hill said.
"Beck destroyed three of them, all that's left is fire." Fury said.
"The one that destroyed my Earth. It's the one that took my family," Beck said, fiddling with his wedding ring on his left ring finger.
"I'm sorry, I know how you feel. I lost my husband in the war." Sakura said.
"The fire elemental will be in Prague in 24 hours." Hill said.
"The mission is to kill it," Fury said, "And you are coming with us, Parker."
"I'm sorry did you say Prague. Mr. Fury this all seems like big superhero stuff and I'm just a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man."
"Bitch please, you've been to space."
"I know but that was an accident, sir there's got to be someone else. What about Thor, Sakura's brother in law?"
"Off world."
"Doctor Strange."
"Unavailable."
"Captain Marvel."
"Don't invoke her name."
"Sir I really want to help, but If I am seen like this after the Washington Monument, people will figure out who I am. The whole world will know who I am and then I am done."
"Do I want to know what happened?" Sakura asked.
"It's a long story."
"Okay, I understand." Fury said.
"I'm sorry what."
"Get back before your teachers miss you and become suspicious. Demetri take him back to the hotel please."
"Thank you, Mr. Fury. Good luck guys."
"Take care, Peter." Sakura
"I want to apologize for the way I behaved when we first met. You are really beautiful, but I couldn't express my feelings because of what you were going through."
Sakura giggled, "Go have fun Peter."
"I will, thank you. Again I am really sorry."
"Go."
"Yup, going," Peter said following Demetri out of the tunnel. Everyone in the tunnel went back to work in preparation for the upcoming attack. Fury started his own arrangements to ruin Peter's nice vacation away from home. His face said it all. He didn't have to say a single word for Sakura to know what he was thinking in his head.
"Why do I have a gut feeling this so-called vacation is about to be upgraded to Prague." Sakura said.
"You know it. Hill, upgrade the kids to a nice hotel, and Demetri drive them down in a school tour bus. I have an Agent who will make another suit for him." Let's transfer our base. Move it people.
"Do I get an upgraded suit too?"
"I am not doing you any favors. You have the magic to make your own."
"Let me rephrase, make me a new suit because I can't make a Spider suit."
"Why the fuck, no."
"She's right, Fury. She needs a new outfit. The Fire Elemental grows more powerful from flames and metal. Meaning you may want to lose that crown of yours for this fight, and put on something that's not made of thin latex." Beck said.
"I guess," Sakura said, vanishing her crown.
"The answer is no. Now hurry up, we have work to do."
The entire base moved closer to the battlefield. All while Fury assigned Demetri to drive a large black tour bus to the next attack zone with Peter and all of his friends inside. The bus drove them to an upgraded hotel close to the city festival. Locals are dressed up in huge animal costumes and decorative lights. The whole town was lit up. You can see it from the sky. All of the students had their own room in the hotel. Peter's room is set up with a large Queen size bed, and a wonderful marble fireplace. Walls are floral old school wallpaper peeling slightly in the corners.
Before he took one step out the door to see his friends he received a text message on his phone. He opened it to see who it was. Sakura is asking him to come outside the hotel so she can bring him to the new location. He did not hesitate to find her by the entrance.
"Hey, so I'm hoping we can hang out when all this is over. We didn't have the chance after the funeral."
"Sure, you can teach me all these cool tricks you have, so that I can be a better Spiderwoman."
"Yeah It will be fun. Fury actually gave me these glasses and said Tony wanted me to have this."
"That's a big responsibility for someone who hasn't even graduated high school."
"Yeah these glasses are really something else. I accidentally ordered a drone strike to kill a classmate of mine. Stupid guy, Brad, took a photo of me with that woman who was trying to get me to try on the new suit."
"She asked you to strip in front of her," Sakura laughed.
"Yeah it was so embarrassing."
"Fury found out about the strike drones and already told me what happened. I'm sorry you had to go through that."
"How did he-Demetri..."
"Yeah, so we're here. Good luck with Fury. He's harsh on you because he cares about his people."
"I know."
"When I came to this planet I was so scared. My husband died, and his parents died, and Thor left me to take care of things while he went off to space. I didn't know where to begin. Fury gave me a phone and you would always be there to comfort me."
"I didn't want you to be alone, raising a child on your own must be really hard. I was such a handful to May."
"Thank you,"
"Are you thinking of finding someone to help you. I mean, I could help."
"I would like nothing more, but Peter you are a high school student soon to go to college in a few years. You should be more worried about what you want to do for the rest of your life than become a parent at a young age," Sakura said, opening a door through an alleyway.
"Peter nodded in disappointment, "You're right, sorry."
Through a small basement door is a small one room apartment with a kitchen openly connected and a small bathroom. Computers are set up around the area with agents typing away including Hill who was trying to contact the local police to evacuate civilians in the area, and also cancel the festival so close to this battlefield.
Sakura stepped inside first with Peter ready for this new plan, "Okay we're here."
"Peter has a fantastic skill that helps him climb up walls, so he can climb up the cathedrals to keep watch and notify us so we know how much time we have." Beck said
"I will evacuate as many civilians as I can. I have the power to manipulate minds so I will have plenty of help on the ground." Sakura added.
"We will meet up to fight it off together." Beck said.
"Parker, Parker, that thing is going to be here in a few hours. Are we boring you?" Fury said.
"He's not bored, he's just thinking about how you kidnapped him." Beck replied.
"He had options. I removed them."
"No one will evacuate the city," Hill said.
"Idiots." Fury said. "So what's the plan Parker,"
"I will be in the cathedral tower keeping watch for the fire monster, and then I will radio you guys. Then Sakura, Mr. Beck and I will-
"My name is Mysterio," He winked.
"That's when Sakura, Mysterio, and I will move in..."
"Peter, listen to me, the best hope you have, the only hope is to stop it here now. No matter what the cost. Move it away from civilians but most importantly keep it away from metal. If it gets too big it can take power from the earth's core. After that there's no way to stop it." Beck said.
"Hey, man my friends are here. I can't help thinking that we are putting them in danger."
Fury laughed, "You're worried about us hurting your friends. You, Who called a drone strike on your own school tour bus. Stark gave you a multibillion dollar AR tactical intelligence system and the first thing you do with it is try to blow up your friends. It's clear to me that you were not ready for this."
"Fury, stop." Sakura argues.
While Sakura has a heated argument with Nick Fury, poor Peter Parker takes a step back and runs off. He flies to the top of the tower and sits in silence. Beck follows him up there to comfort him. Sooner or later they had to put their feelings aside because a battle was about to begin soon. The final fight that will determine if the planet earth will survive or not. Sakura had to face Fury about Peter's responsibilities because he will be needed in the future to protect the world again.
"Fury, he's just a child. Let him have fun with his friends. He will step up when he is ready to step up."
"No you have to stop defending him like he's your boyfriend. We don't get to choose our wars, they choose us. Now go to your post, soldier. I'll handle you and Parker later."
Without a response Sakura had to move on. She attached her webs to buildings, and swung down to an alleyway so she can follow the crowd downtown. Civilians are cheering from the top of their lungs. Partying as if it's the last day here on Earth, and it just might be. Her suit opened up a communication line between everyone on the team. Peter is in position standing above the crowd. He watched the tango line reach the square where a large fountain spewing water and confetti is sitting at its center. Loud music is playing from large speakers hanging from small buildings. Sakura hid in the crowd trying to avoid attention. Everyone was so loud she couldn't hear herself think.
"It's a little crazy down here, but I am managing." Sakura said.
"I'm here too. I am in position. If I see anything I will let you know." Peter said.
"Roger that, how are you liking the new suit, Peter?" Fury asked.
"From down here I see the suit is very tactical and comfortable." Sakura laughs.
"Yeah, not bad. Suits great, It's a little tight around the web shooter."
"Focus, Parker." Fury said.
Sakura continues to laugh, "Now that's funny."
"We have some activity in the crowd." Hill said.
"I see it," Sakura answered as she approached what appeared to be hot steam coming from the fountain.
Lava poured out from the concrete melting the statue. The fire uplifted the Earth causing a huge panic. People are running away in every direction like headless chickens. A lava beast came to grow out of what was the fountain. He led out a hefty roar burning the surrounding buildings. Sakura went straight to work evacuating the civilians. She created barricades with webs to lead terrified people away in the correct direction. She possessed nearby police officers and strong tall men to help her guide them out of the maze. Sakura pushed through the civilians going in the opposite direction. One wrong move and she will be swept under their feet like trash.
"Okay, it's here. Sakura, are you good?" Peter called out.
Sakura was squeezed by the crowd trying to breathe, "I'm fine, I'll catch up with you in a second."
"Stay safe. Beck, are you ready?"
"On your lead Spider-Man."
The beast destroys vehicles and throws them out of the way. Mysterio is striking his green beams to try and distract it away from any metal. His power barely did any damage and it's backing up on a building with metal beams to support construction workers while repairing the building walls. Sakura rushes in to help, but doesn't look like she made it in time. The beast was growing bigger by the second.
"We need a plan B," Beck says.
Sakura forms a green aura prepared to step up on her magical abilities, "What do you need me to do?"
"We need to hit it with something that he can't absorb. Keep it away from the carousel." Beck said.
A beautiful array of illusions caught his attention away from where they would like to avoid. She created more illusions of herself to distract it, and attack the beast with large buckets of water from the nearby ocean. The carousel tilts sideways when a crack in the ground opens up below them. Two figures are above panicking.
Sakura turns on her coms and speaks, "Civilians on the carousel, I repeat civilians on the carousel."
"Sakura, you have to help them. Those are my friends." Peter said.
"I got it."
Peter sticks his webs between the buildings and the carousel so it doesn't tip over while Sakura jumps on to rescue them. A number of black cars arrive and in those cars are Fury and his agents here to watch the end of this victorious battle. Sakura climbs up the large wheel and reaches out to his terrified friends. A hefty dark skinned boy with scrawny blonde haired girl.
"Who the hell are you?" The boy asked, "We don't know you. Where's Night Monkey?"
"Night Monkey? Who on earth are you talking about?"
Behind them the battle intensifies as Parker and Mysterio face head on with this lava monster growing taller than the buildings surrounding the beast. A splash of burning lava struck Sakura's left calf. She screamed in agonizing pain almost ready to pull out the white flag. Collecting more metal each step it takes, the beast is soon ready to take over the world. This is the final moment where it's life or death. This fight may already be over. Peter climbs the carousel to try and help Sakura before the lava monster comes too close. Mysterio has a plan in mind.
"No, no, no," Mysterio panics and turns to face his new friends, "Whatever happens, I am glad we met."
"What?" Sakura said, "Don't do it Beck, this is not the answer." Sakura said, "There's got to be another way."
"Wait, what? What are you doing, Beck?"
"What I should have done last time," Beck replied, holding his tears back. His body is glowing green and collecting a load of energy. He surges himself and shoots right through the massive creature's heart. The lava turns green and the beast explodes dramatically leaving no trace of its existence behind. Beck is lying on the cement helpless. He is badly wounded, but alive.
Sakura reached for Peter's friends, "Come on, let me help you."
Everyone returned to safety and regrouped by Beck lying on the floor. Sakura limped herself to Peter. He wrapped his arms around her to help her walk back to the group. She was badly burned, but able to heal it over time with her Asgardian magic.
"So that was the last of them." Hill said.
"Yes but not the last threat we will ever face. We need to stay vigilant. There's a void in this world for someone like you. Hill and I are going to Europe Headquarters in Berlin tomorrow you should join us." Fury said to Beck
Be happy shook Fury's hand, "Thank you I might just take you up on that."
"Queen of New Asgard, thank you for the help. I know you have to go back to Norway to see to it your son is safe, but you are welcome to come along."
"You can just call me Sakura." Sakura laughed, "I would be happy to join you, sir, but yes I have some business to attend to at home."
"Hang up that crown of yours on a coat rack. You are only one person. Give some of those responsibilities to someone else, so you can focus on the job you were chosen to do. Take better care of yourself, okay."
"I will think of something," Sakura smiled.
Fury turns to face Peter who is covered in bruises and tears, "You got gifts Parker, but you didn't want to be here. I'd love to have you in Berlin too. But you have to decide if you are going to step up or not. Stark chose you. He made you an Avenger. I need that. The world needs that. Maybe he was wrong, was he? The choice is yours."
Sakura softly whispered as she noticed he was trying to hold back his tears, "Peter are you okay? You don't have to go to Berlin."
"I got him," Beck said, patting his shoulder, "let's get a drink, kid."
"I'm not 21," Peter replied.
"Go ahead, I'll catch up another time. Let me know how it all goes."
"I will, I'll text you later."
As Sakura walks away with Nick Fury she decides to go home to her son, and make a quick call to him. She pulled out her phone on a private flight back to Norway to FaceTime her son working on her studies of world history. He's a bit too energized for her comfort, but looks like he is doing well. She landed home hours later expecting her son to have been fed before bed. She crawled inside limping at a steady pace as her calf was glowing during the healing process. She will live to fight another day.
