Chapter 29: Needing a Brother’s Advice

Casey POV

“Aidan, come for a jog with me,” Casey demands the second he sees his brother in the kitchen.

Casey barely slept the night before. After everything that happened with Heather, he could not turn his mind off. He knows he needs to talk to someone else about everything he has discovered about his father and his feelings for Heather. His brother is the only person he trusts.

“Why would I do that brother? I don’t believe in torturing myself the way you do with such vigorous exercise,” Aidan says, clearly nursing a hangover, and drinking a cup of coffee.

“Come on, Aidan. I need to talk to you about something,” Casey’s frustration fills his voice, but Aidan ignores it.

“Then let’s go drinking! We can talk over whiskey,” Aidan says trying to inject some fun into the morning with his dour brother.

“It is 10 o’clock in the morning. Besides, I want to be sure that no one will overhear us. It’s important Aidan,” Casey says, trying to convey the importance of his request.
