When the doorbell rang, Nian Yuyu had just finished slicing a plate of fruit and hurried to wash her hands and answer the door.
As the door opened, she was greeted by a large, luscious bouquet of red roses that nearly concealed the entire upper body of the man standing outside.
"Chu You?" Nian Yuyu exclaimed in surprise.
Why did he suddenly buy roses, and such a huge bouquet at that?
Moreover, this bouquet of roses seemed even larger than the one she had ordered in the morning.
"Mm," Chu You's gaze settled on her, a flicker of amusement crossing the depths of his profound eyes.
"Don't like them?" he asked in return.
A sense of undeserved shame rose within Nian Yuyu, feeling as today's Chu You seemed a little different, his gaze somewhat intense.
"No," Nian Yuyu's ears began to feel hot, her voice very soft, "I like them."
