Emerging from the subway station at Provincial Hospital No. 2, it was just six o'clock.
The hot wind of dusk hit her face, still oppressively hot and unbearable.
Nian Yuyu had just crossed the street when her phone rang from inside her bag.
"You there?" Chu You's clear voice came through the phone.
"Yeah," Nian Yuyu stepped aside to avoid the passersby, her voice soft, "I'm at the hospital entrance."
"Okay."
"Stay where you are and wait for me."
After hanging up, Nian Yuyu looked around, stepped onto the steps of the outpatient building, and stood just under the shadow of a pillar at the entrance.
It wasn't two minutes before a familiar black Mercedes slowly approached from the direction of the parking lot.
A smile unconsciously curled up the corners of Nian Yuyu's lips; the car stopped, and she opened the passenger door.
The car was air-conditioned inside, a completely different temperature from the outside.
