She closed her eyes, unwilling to give in, as Chu You began reading a fairy tale.

The storybook had been brought over by Chu Qi the night before. It contained fairy tales, fables, idiom stories, and more, all under the pretense that prenatal education should start early.

Chu You had started the task of reading bedtime stories to Nian Yuyu the previous night and was beginning to see the fruit of his efforts.

In less than five minutes, he put the storybook down, tucked Nian Yuyu in properly, and then left the room.

He didn't go downstairs but sent Zhou Yunyan a message to let them rest in the guest room on their own.
