Extra Story — Song Fu vs Li Beize 4_1

Li Beize finally understood what it meant to shoot himself in the foot.

He stiffly opened the car door, watching as Song Fu comfortably took her seat in the passenger's side.

The warm breeze of dusk, streaming through the half-open car window, filled the cabin and draped both of them in a soft golden twilight.

Song Fu buckled her seatbelt and turned to look at Li Beize.

The setting sun seemed to have melted away her usual coldness.

"Let's go," she said.

Li Beize mechanically started the car and slowly drove onto the road.

From the beginning to the end, Song Fu never asked where they were heading.

And after Li Beize sneaked glances at Song Fu through the rearview mirror over and over again, he finally made up his mind.

He took a deep breath, feigning nonchalance.

"I'm heading to a bar, you know, I kind of like... to party."

"Have you ever been to a bar?"

He tried to scare Song Fu away with his reckless behavior.
