Extra Story — Song Fu vs Li Beize 7_1

The office was filled with a quiet current of air, the sunlight blocked out by the curtains.

The light was bright, and the air conditioning created a foggy chill.

Song Fu hunched over, tending to the wound on Li Beize's right hand.

She meticulously focused on his hand, while Li Beize watched her with an obscure gaze.

Neither spoke, the air laced with subtlety, as if the barely maintained equilibrium was about to shatter.

"Try to keep it dry."

Song Fu put away the cotton swab and alcohol, her normally cool voice unintentionally taking on a hint of warmth.

Li Beize glanced at his right hand and chuckled, his attitude still one of indifference.

"I'm a doctor too."

Song Fu didn't respond, and the atmosphere once again grew silent.

Li Beize fought down the restlessness in his heart, his eyes darting around, "That guy today... don't see him again."

"He's no good."

"Mhm, I know."

Song Fu paused, her tone as unruffled as a placid lake, "My family will arrange someone else."
