You need to recover

James dimly opened his eyes adjusting to the reflection of the sun. He sat up immediately as he remembered what had happened. He found himself on the bed, his head was under the bandage and also his left arm a bandage was tied around his arm hooked to his neck.

He groaned in pain as he tried his best to properly sit up. A woman came into the room, a bowl in her hand. Once she saw him awake, she was amazed by his action but she knew that she needed to stop him so she dropped the bowl on the table that was on the table as she rushed to him to help him.

"Hey, you still have to rest yourself. You can't stress your body by taking so much effort," her voice came in gentle, helpful, and worried as she reached out to him.

James turned to look at her, she was dark-skinned, had blue hair, brown eyes, a V-shaped jawline, and a flat nose. Her long eyelashes blinked effectively to keep someone posted in a place but then her eyes knew more as those set gave concern. When she knew her long hair would probably distract her from helping, she took a rubber band from her pocket as she properly attended to him.

"Where? Where am I?" James stuttered as his eyes searched the environment.

"You're in Turkey. This place is designated for those I was taking care of before this apocalypse occurred. For you, you were found at the roadside seriously injured but I wasn't the one who found you. Someone else did, the person was even the person who brought you here."

"Where is that person?" He asked, hoarse in the voice as she checked around.

"I don't know, the last time I saw the person was when he brought you in here. He said that you're someone who requires great help. The stranger thing is that I, myself, don't know who he was. Is a wonder how he knew who I was."

"Wait...I haven't even asked, who are you?" James spoke.

The doctor smiled because of his question, she walked to a table to take a pair of scissors as she removed his head bandage.

"Please stay still, I'll remove the bandage off your head you don't need to be worrisome," she said calmly as James took it slowly by not stressing himself. Once she could see how relaxed he was, she spoke.

"My name is Priscilla, I'm a native of this land and also a nurse since three years ago. So, what happened? What led to your accident?" Still, in a calm voice, she asked but then she was receiving no answers from him for a while so she glance at him with a smile on her face to ease him up.

"Why are you curious to know?" James asked giving an uninviting expression so she heaved a deep breath feeling the cold expression.

He was not going to answer her she bit her lip a bit as she thought hard about how she could discuss with him but in a jiffy, she looked back at him with a smile and chuckled a bit.

"Okay then, maybe you could tell me what kind of person you were before you became unconscious. Maybe, you had a job or ambition." James was about to give her a sheer gesture when he realized that he doesn't know how long he's been in the place.

"Priscilla, how long have I been here?" He asked in haste.

"Hmmm.. you've been here for about a week and three days now, today is just another day."

"What? Eleven days?!!! Eleven? I have to go now, I have to leave at the moment." He took off the bandage as he growled in pain, he was about to stand up but Priscilla stopped him, surprised by his action.

"Why do you want to go somewhere at this moment? You need to rest at the moment just a bit for you to recover. There's no need for you to go anywhere at the moment."

"Do think I'm going to listen to what you've said? I mean, I need to be somewhere at the moment." He argued so much so that without any other choice, she hit him on his arm.

"Ahhhh," he growled painfully.

"See that, you haven't even recovered your arm and you're trying to make an argument with me. It will not take you forever just to stay before you recover."

"There is no need for recovery, if I would be able to make it to my final destination then I'll wouldn't need any of this neither would I have pain, and as for my arm it has to comply with the pain I handle. I would be better soon enough." He stood up and walked to the hangar to take his shirt. Priscilla was stunned by how stubborn he is even with the pain in his arm. He's still trying to prove strong.

"Hey," she called as he turned to give her a cold glare.

"I have a question."

"What's the question?"

"This, what you're talking about."

"Paradise? The way to paradise?"

"Yeah, about it," She nodded her head like she was registering what he said but he seemed less interested as he began to walk away so she called once again, with frustration he asked her why she was calling him rudely but she was still cheerful towards him.

"Take this," she said as she threw the navigator device at him as he caught it.

"I saw it in your pocket. You'll see the bike in the garage once you go outside, is on the right side," she spoke calmly.

He looked at her and for the first time with his unruly attitude toward her, he forced himself to say, "Thank you."

Priscilla was excited hearing him say that to her but she remembered something that she felt was important for him.

"Hey..." Before she could speak further, the boy was already out of the room.

"I didn't get to tell him nor was I able to ask for his name," she murmured with a pouty lip.
