The reason why the God went out of his way to sincerely praise Alpina for creating her own magic was quite simple: up until now, Alpina had never been able to create magic. At least, that was the case at the end of the God-Dragon War. But over the approximately 10,000 years since then, she finally became capable of doing so. It brought him a kind of joy akin to seeing one’s own child finally learning how to ride a bicycle.

Incidentally, this difficulty doesn’t apply only to the magic used by Devils. The same holds true for the Sacredness used by Angels and the Dragonact of Dragons—developing new techniques is extremely difficult. Most of the existing techniques were prepared by the God at the time of creating the Sons of God; they were not inventions of the users themselves.
