Chapter 9 : Magic

On getting home that day his mom was shoked to see his bleeding black eyes all she could do was help him clean it.she put a bowl of hot water beside her as she cleaned the wound

"how did it happen?"she asked

"the prince punched me"he replied

"what! why! ?"she asked

"i was staring at the Princess so he got angry and punched me "Damien said looking at his mom who was rubbing something on her hand before chanting and placed her hand on his eyes and within three minutes it was healed she let out a heavy sigh

"using magic on you is very tiresome"she said smiling as she stood up

"mom i want to learn magic" Damien said making Amelia stop in her track she didn't want to have thus discussion with him

"NO"she said dropping the bowl on the ground

"but i need it i want it and if i had magic this thing wouldn't hap happened" Damien retorted

"and i said no do you even remember the time you burnt our village down to ash of course you wouldn't remember you where still an infant when that happened" she said turning to look at him

"mom i was a child and how would i have been able to use fire elements " he said

"that wasn't a fire element it was a fire spell my father was a Sorcerer he knew different dark spells but i tell you that spell wasn't even a dark spell but it was strong to strong for a low born wizard let alone an infant i had to take the blame do you know what happened to me so i say NO" she said with a frown on her face .

"i am sorry for what happened to you mom but i am going to learn magic "he said laying back down to sleep. Amelia was surprised her son had never disrespected her before she also didn't like the chances of where his disobedience might lead them too.

The next day he woke up and started getting dressed

his mom had woken also.

"dont do this Damien i don't want you puting yourself in trouble "she said as Damien dressed up but didn't reply

"fine dont just go to the palace they are terrible there "she said but he still didn't answer as he stepped out of the house sighing she stood up to follow him but didn't find him anywhere.

Damien felt bad disobeying his mother but he felt this need for magic and this want for it like his subconscious was beckoning for him to use it after the prince punched him he felt he needed it not just to protect himself but for another reason he couldn't phantom .

Arriving at the prince room Alex was suprised he thought that Damuen was going to quit yesterday when he left.

"what you didn't quit yesterday" he asked

"you want me to quit and i need the money "Damien replied

"Haha you need the money ha you know thaf is one thung with you low borns ha" Alex said walking towards the bathroom . sighing Damien went to the closet and arranged his clothes for the day before cleaning his armour they both headed to the arena where alex Alex fought Zach again before Alex headed for the library.

"so this is where you royals keep your spells right" Damien asked

"yeah well not only Royals though some servants do know some spells here but they are only allowed to come here with a special authorization though, so if you are thinking you can come here you are going to need my authorization" Alex said smiling as he picked a book and opened it reading the spells in it. while Damien looked for basic elemental magic books since he was still a beginner. He picked four books on elemental magic and started reading them.

"seriously basic elemental spells don't tell me you don't know how to do magic and you are just starting" Alex asked suprised.

"yeah what's wrong with that "Damien asked

"huh what's wrong with that you are a beginner to magic and the first step you take is to learn with a royal beginner book" Alex asked

"yeah is it bad " Damien asked

"yeah those spells in there are stronger than a normal beginner's book "Alex said

"ok i would manage "Damien said as he continued to read the book. shaking his head the prince said

"whatever" as he continued doing what he was doing.

After a while Damien casted the elemental magic of wind controlling he lifted a book from the shelf and oppened it before returning it

"did you just use wind " Alex asked

"yeah " Damien said smiling

"try lifting me with it lets see the strength of your wind control "he said looking at Damien

"i don't think we should try that" Damien replied looking down

"what come one "Alex said "the basics of elemental magic is how strong are you to use these spells so come on"

"fine but if i drop you don't punch me in the face" he said standing up and casting the spell but he couldn't still lift Alex high up but he could levitate him before dropping him

"wow nice you are strong but not strong enough though "he said as he lifted Damien up with his wind

"well you are strong though for a beginner" Alex said walking back to his sit as both kept reading.
