Training The Siblings

Fury sat in his office, his one good eye scanning the reports on his desk. He scowled as he read about the unknown creature that had wiped out the team he had sent to capture it. "Who is that purple motherfucker?" he muttered under his breath. He knew he had severely underestimated the threat and now he was paying the price for his failure. He called one of his agents, instructing him to keep an eye out for the creature and to contact him immediately if they found anything. The agent saluted and left Fury's office.

In another part of the world, Thanos and the Maximoff siblings were driving towards an abandoned military base. As they traveled, the siblings questioned Thanos about his origins and his ability to see the future. Thanos answered some of their questions patiently, but denied many of them. Pietro's questions ranged from why Thanos was purple to whether he was an alien. Wanda's focus was on how his knowledge of the future would be useful in their revenge against Stark. Thanos assured her that it would be useful enough, but warned her not to be too impatient.

Finally, they arrived at the base, where Thanos instructed the siblings to find a room for themselves and take what they needed from the truck. He then led them to the largest room to discuss their plans. As they settled in, Thanos contemplated what artifacts he could acquire to enhance his strength and mental abilities. He quickly dismissed the super soldier serum, not knowing how it might affect him as a Titan as it was designed for humans in the first place, and also ruled out gamma rays for the reason that his body is resistant to most forms of poison and toxins. Thanos didn't know how to explain it, he just knew.

The voice in his head lampooned, saying he could probably become stronger over time, like King Thanos, by sitting on his arse for thousands of years. Thanos laughed at the suggestion, remembering certain novels they used to read in their previous lives. He knew that stealing the infinity stones right now would be almost suicidal, as he was not yet a fully developed Titan. He wanted to ensure he had the best chances at his disposal when he attempted to acquire them.

Thanos explained to the siblings that they needed to train their powers further, as what they had seen of their abilities was only a fraction of what they were capable of. The siblings were surprised, having already undergone extensive training in the Hydra base, but Thanos insisted they had yet to realize their full potential. He then revealed to them the truth about the mind stone and what it had done to them. Knowing their potential, Thanos was determined to train them in order to help them develop their powers.

Thanos smiled. He knew that more would come, and with their help, he will build himself an ustoppable force. A force so powerful that it might even rival the origina Thanos's army.
