A Blessing

"Please someone help save my baby! Please someone save her!"

A wailing mother runs into the sacred Ancestral Tree temple while holding a bundle of fur in her arms. She had just transformed from her leopard beast and was now naked. Being nude was common in the beast world. The priest turns to look at the female, shocked by the sudden outburst. The mother was blessed with many litters but never had a female till now only for her to stop breathing after being born. The desperate mother ran to the temple of healers in hopes that someone would be able to save her lifeless female.

She collapsed in the center of the temple breathless and exhausted. She looked up at the priest begging for someone to save her daughter.

The priest then turns and looks at one another not sure what to do either.

The head priest was in the moon pool when he heard the commotion. Suddenly, the wind picked up, with it carried the voice of the ancestral tree.

"Place them both in the pool."

The priest heard the words and went to get the mother and daughter duo. The priest wore the finest spider silk robe that covered most of his body. It hugged him nicely showing that he was well built and not lacking muscles even though he spends most of his time in the temple.

He had piercing yellow/golden eyes, a sharp nose, cheeks, and jawline, all symmetrical. His skin is smooth and silky white. Almost all head priests had similar looks. Almost all look godly, with their incredibly attractive ghost-like looks.

He walked to the duo with grace and elegance that came from years of pampering. When he spoke, his voice was smooth and calm. "Bring the child and come with me."

The mother got up from her kneeling position and followed the head priest to the back of the temple where the moon pool was. The moon pool held the Ancestral Tree in the middle of crystal clear water and the roots made the pool unique by healing and cleansing. It was a small pond in the middle of the open grassy area.

Once they were close to the moon pool, the priest turned to the mother and said, "Walk to the center and lay the child flat in the water, be quick she doesn't have much time." The mother did as she was told. She took her child out of the fur blanket dropping it at her side before quickly moving to the center of the pool. The water stopped right under her breast. She let the child go in front of her as she watched a tree branch come down and touch the child. It then moved the branch to the mother's forehead speaking directly to her.

The wind picked up as it spoke to her. "I can save this child, but you will have to sacrifice your womb. Your womb is the next precious thing to you, therefore it will serve as a great offering. You will no longer be able to have children. Are you willing?" She didn't think long before replying, "Yes".

The tree then moved the branch down to the mother's womb and another branch to wrap around the child. Strong winds were blowing, and a light appeared on the womb and then moved to cover the child completely. The mother felt very weak after that and nearly fainted in the pool. The water was helping but she still needed time to fully heal.

Thanks to the branch's support she was able to stay upright to watch the next part. The tree then sent down a very precious seed, put it in the child's mouth, and breathed some of the tree's vitality into the child. It was at this moment the heavens sent down Lila's soul and placed it in the baby's body. The mother's sacrifice was accepted.

Once it was done the child started moving, after a sec second of stirring around it opened its eyes and showed the most breathtaking blue/purple swirling eyes and her hair turned white. Another sign that she was indeed unique. A unique female with a promising future.
