"You won't return home yet, Boss Xin?"
Liliana looked up from the book in front of her in the direction of the voice. She saw Lucas leaning sideways against the door frame.
It was already a quarter past eleven. Everyone on the evening shift had gone home, leaving only Lucas and Liliana.
The business district was already eerily quiet at this time. The only store that was still open was the convenience shop next door.
Occasionally, the sound of vehicles passing down the road broke the silence. At certain times, a dog's bark traveled the space and air.
Liliana blankly stared at Lucas. He had yet to change out of his work outfit.
The black apron was still fitted to his slender body, the top two buttons were undone, revealing a part of his chest and collarbones. His messy hair added a mellow charm to his appearance.
