Are You Sure About It?

As promised, Lucas waited for Kevin at the cafeteria. He chose a secluded corner, away from where the other students were sitting. A paper cup of iced black coffee sat on the table, the one he purchased at one of the booths.

Lucas had informed Kevin that he was already there. His younger brother sent him two texts.

[Kevin: Still in class, sorry]

[Kevin: Will be there in 10 minutes]

Lucas subtly glanced around the cafeteria, watching the students having their meals together with their friends or lovers. The sound of their conversations blended together, echoing in the midst of cutleries hitting faintly on the plates and bowls.

To most people, this was the peak of their youth. The one point where they had to prepare themselves before stepping out to join the society.
