Was It Simply A Fleeting Infatuation?

Pushing on the handle, Lucas let the water run down from the faucet, falling on the dirty food containers. He had taken out the remains of the food from the picnic earlier.

Everything was eaten by him and Liliana. The two of them had a pleasant end to the picnic despite the short interlude of Liliana's story.

Lucas was happy to see she enjoyed all the food as she refused to let the heaviness of her mind overtake her entire mood.

At six-thirty, Lucas walked Liliana home as usual. He could tell that her mood was better than the time she opened up about herself to him.

Before Liliana got inside the apartment, she sincerely thanked him.

"Mr. Liu, I really enjoy the picnic. Thank you."

Those appreciation words from her made him smile so much he almost laughed at himself.
