What Made You Tell Me That?

"...Olivia?"

Nadia shifted her eyes from Edgar to the woman dressed in yellow. She forwent her intention to get inside the car. Standing next to the man, countless assumptions started invading her mind.

The young woman was so pretty. Her beauty reminded Nadia of her friend Liliana.

She looked so elegant in the simple summer dress. Her soft wavy hair bounced gently behind her back as she walked on her high heels.

The woman named Olivia stopped right in front of Edgar. Smiling, she asked, "It's been so long. How have you been?"

Edgar pulled himself out of his stupor. Still staring at Olivia, his tone was a bit stiff as he answered, "I'm good. How about you? It's... really a long time."

"I returned for a short visit," Olivia wandered her gaze from Edgar to Nadia, "Hello, miss. Pardon me, I'm just excited to see an old friend."

"...it's fine," Nadia tried to put on the best smile she had, "You can talk to him longer, miss."
