Liliana subtly glanced around her. She was relieved because none of the tables nearby were occupied by the patrons. She didn't want any of them to hear the nonsense spouted by Deanna.

Liliana's eyes fell on Lucas at the barista corner nearby. She was a bit surprised to see the young man there. She didn't notice when he appeared.

When Lucas took a step toward her, Liliana slowly shook her head. She made a hand gesture, telling him not to come.

The young man stopped but, he didn't move away from that spot.

Liliana raised her brows. She should listen to what made Deanna come here for the very first time. Surely it was an unpleasant experience.

Clasping her hands together, Liliana put them on her lap. Her face was calm, a stark contrast to Deanna's agitated expression.

"What have I done this time? Are you referring to Dylan's incident? Are you still insisting that I played a part in it?"
