But there's someone that wasn't happy with this new development. Asher reappeared, his frosty cold mask was replaced with deep regret and longing.

"I was wrong. Please, come back! I'll do anything!"

Liliana scoffed, turning her back on her first love. She won't repeat the same mistake of loving him ever again.

Old Master Ding froze on the spot. He couldn't move his eyes away from Cassia's face once they were locked into her.

Liliana held one of Old Master Ding's hands. She smiled in helplessness at the sight of the old man's astonished look.

"Grandpa, let's come inside. You shouldn't just stand here."

Under Cassia's cautious gaze, Old Master Ding took a few steps toward her before he stopped. He didn't dare to get too close to the hospital bed. Liliana also didn't force him to continue walking.

Talia accompanied Old Master Ding by his side while Liliana rushed to stand next to Cassia's bed. The two ladies quietly watched the uncle and niece pair who met for the first time today.

None of them spoke. The ongoing silence inside the private ward created a suffocating tension. Cassia kept staring at Old Master Ding. The old man returned the same gesture.
