A Picnic Of Two By The Lake

Liliana continued taking steps forward until she reached Lucas' side. Her eyes shifted from his face to what was on his back. Mirth danced in the clarity of her eyes.

"I can smell something good," Liliana referred to the big-size thermal food bag shouldered by Lucas, "Seems like I'll be so full today."

A subtle smirk formed on Lucas' lips. His gaze had a playful yet anticipating glint, "You'll surely like them all. Let's go now."

The sun wouldn't set soon but, Lucas hoped to get to the lake park before it. He wanted to witness the spectacular view of the sunset while having a picnic with Liliana.

For the promised picnic, Lucas made everything he thought Liliana would be interested in. He needed to hold back and cut some dishes from his list.

In the end, he only prepared a few, understanding that the two of them might waste the food if the quantity was too much. It was a bad practice.
