He Didn't Feel Forced At All Unlike Before

Lucas and Kevin stepped out of Dr. Long's office before noon. He was the doctor responsible for treating Linda. The medical professional called the brothers in to discuss their mother's condition.

Glancing at Kevin whose expression was dark, Lucas patted his younger brother's back a few times. A faint smile hung on his lips.

"Don't make such a face. Dr. Long said Mother will recover without many complications. Believe in him."

Linda had yet to regain her consciousness but, her condition was stable enough for a domestic abuse victim like her. From thorough inspections and scanning, there were no signs of internal injury in her brain.

As he heard the positivity in his elder brother's voice, Kevin tilted up his head to stare back at Lucas. His brows still furrowed, expressing the discomfort tugging at his heart.

"I know, but... I'm worried. I need to see Mom waking up first."
