The Final Selection Process

"Oh, I should go now."

Liliana noticed the clock was pointing to eleven-forty. She shoved the rest of the cookie held between her fingers into her mouth. The cupcake was already long gone, residing in her tummy.

Lucas smiled, noticing the anticipation brewing in Liliana's eyes. She mentioned how excited she was to interview the candidates.

While sitting in the baking kitchen, they chatted about what Liliana did at Westport City. Because Lucas was already aware of her intention, she truthfully told him what happened during her stay there.

"Will you stay at your apartment tonight?" asked Lucas, an idea struck his mind.

"I'll return to my granduncle's place," Liliana raised her brows, lips curling up, "I plan to go back late. Why? Have anything to do?"

Lucas let out a chuckle before responding, "Want to have dinner at the eatery near the lake park? You can choose the time, either at six or even later."

"Oh! That's good! Sure, at six."
