My Old Eyes Didn't See Anything

||Liliana||

Twenty minutes before his shift started, Lucas and Liliana were already on the first floor where the lobby was.

The man woke up from his nap earlier than the alarm. He insisted on sending her off before returning to the baking kitchen.

Standing near one of the majestic pillars of the porch outside the hotel lobby, Lucas and Liliana exchanged a few words. The driver Mr. Chi was already waiting nearby.

Lucas held both of Liliana's hands, the light in his orbs softened as he was willingly entranced by her smiley eyes.

"Thank you for coming, Lili. The soup is delicious. I'll surely finish it at home."

Lucas' earnest words earned delightful chuckles from Liliana. She squeezed his hands, her eyes never straying from his countenance.

"Make sure to rest well tonight, en? Mrs. Fu will set aside some food for you, I've asked her to. I'll come here again this Sunday. There are no changes, right?"
