Beatrice's POV.
The first thing I see when I wake up is the last thing my familiar said to me.
'They need your help. Go.'
I recognize the white huntress mist and Lydia's flickering ruby red magic. I throw out my magic like a whip and it instinctively catches the arm of the huntress right before it is set to plunge into my cousin's neck.
The surprise unlocks whatever hold the huntress has on Lydia. Her magic glows stronger, and I will that the huntress has to face both of us, side by side.
A black dome encases them, and when I step through my own magic, the white fog dissipates and there he is.
Sebastian.
"Nice of you to finally join us," Lydia levies.
"You know me," I say, "always the glory hog."
My eyes drink him in. I have so many questions and fewer answers. Not of him, but of myself.
