Chapter 27: Romantic Dinner

*Jo's POV*

Nikko meets me halfway to the kitchen and pulls me in for a kiss. My knees almost buckled from the force of it, and I was gasping in air by the time he pulled away.

"Sorry, I just missed you," he said with a smile, as he wrapped one hand around my back. "And I'm just happy to be alone with you."

I reached up and pulled him down into another kiss.

"You never have to apologize for kissing me," I said softly as I broke the second kiss.

He smiled and pulled away from me, bringing up the hand that was holding the flower in it. It was one of the wildflowers from the mountain, and it was a pretty light blue. I gently took it from him and looked up at him with the biggest smile on my face.

"You picked me a flower? That is so cute."

"And set up a candlelit dinner," he said, moving to my side and keeping my one hand draped around my hip.

"That is seriously the most romantic thing that anybody has ever done for me," I told him. "Thank you."
