Chapter 32: Yearning

*Jo's POV*

Sweat was dripping down my back again, as Byron and I continued to train. After a busy morning of stretching and trying to shift, it felt good to get back into the physical side of it. To blow off some steam.

I still had not been able to shift all morning. Cressa was feeling much stronger, and talking to me more and more everyday. I could constantly feel her as a part of me now, but we just simply couldn't shift.

When I had become frustrated, Byron had suggested we take a lunch break before switching over to sparring. The lunch break had helped tone down my annoyance, but my sparring still carried more weight than the other day.

If I couldn't fight as a wolf, I really needed to know how to fight as a human, I had decided. Plus, I just felt more confident in that part of training, since Byron had already told me how well I was doing.

"Great job, Jo," Byron said again as I easily evaded an attack by him.
