When I opened the door, I got a breath of evergreen and lavender. Then the door shut behind me, and I felt tingles all over my body as I was pushed up against the wall.

"I forgot something, so I had to turn around and come back," he said softly as he lifted my arms above my head, using one of his large hands to pin the wrists.

"What did you forget?" I managed to choke out as he trailed his free hand down my arm, sending sparks and tingles in its wake.

"This." And he grabbed my face and pushed his lips onto mine.

Ava and Nikko had given me an in depth tour of the packhouse and the pack that ended up taking nearly all day. I met a lot of the pack members and everybody seemed to be accepting of me, even when thinking of me as a human.


We had returned to the packhouse for dinner, and then Nikko showed me his bedroom. Well, our bedroom now. It was a suite style, with the whole upper floor dedicated to him. The first night we spent just cuddling in bed, since I was so nervous about being overheard.


The last week had been very much the same as it had been when I was staying at the cabin. I spent my days training with Byron, even in wolf form now, and I spent my nights with Nikko. And I felt like I was rapidly growing in experience in both cases.
