"So what if I was?" Carissa stepped out from behind Bradley and stood next to him. "What or who I do is no longer your business, Danny. We broke up."
Danny's face reddened. "No, you dumped me for this jackass." Eyes narrowed, hands clenched into fists by his sides, Danny was clearly prepared to throw a couple of punches.
While she didn't doubt Bradley could hold his own in a fight, she didn't want to find out, and she really didn't want anyone to get hurt.
"Alright, everyone just needs to calm down," Garrett said.
"You need to stay the fuck out of this." Danny pointed at Garrett. "And you," Danny took a menacing step forward, "you need to leave my girlfriend the fuck alone."
"I'm not your girlfriend," she said with frustration. But repeating what she'd already told him wouldn't solve anything. "C'mon." She tugged on Bradley's hand. "Let's go."
