"Gods can be insufferable," Shae complained. "They pit their will against you, hindering what you want to achieve. It's like they're working to break you and boost their own egos."

Ulysses was taken aback. "You sound like you have a personal vendetta against them," he remarked.

"It's the opposite actually," Shae replied, her tone grudging. "I feel like some of them are working to see me fail."

Ulysses made a playful request. "Please don't shoot eye beams," he joked, noting her glowing eyes. "Although eye beams would be cool to look at."

Shae's expression resembled Superman's when Lex Luthor kidnapped his mother. "I'm just salty about how I was treated in this trial," she retorted, glaring at Rollan, who had made a comment. "Don't read too much into it."
