Attacked while peeing

"Will you be fine?" asked Tiamat with concern.

Fiona was looking a bit pale to him.

"Yeah, don't worry about me," she replied.

"Wait here. Sloan will be around to take you to your room shortly," he said before turning to leave.

A few minutes ago one of Tiamat's sentries ran over to make a report. The sentry was adamant that something needed his immediate attention.

Tiamat was apologetic and politely excused himself and went with the sentry to discuss securing the defenses for the evening.

Her stomach felt queasy again she couldn't wait for Sloan, her bowels demanded release.

It was times like this she got in her feelings and wished Tiamat let her drown.

She felt so miserable, tired and worn out. Fiona just wanted to collapse into the nearest bed after visiting the privy of course.

Anxious, her eyes searched the room until she spotted a female that she could ask where was the nearest privy.

It felt good to see women in the village while she had been on the road for days with men who just blatantly ignored her.

Other than Sloan for short conversation and the occasional grunts for answers from Gritzl she had pretty much been left alone.

Fiona recalled her embarrassment when Tiamat introduced her to his men by shouting, "No one touches her, she is mine."

It certainly wouldn't hurt to make a few female friends to help pass the time.

Fiona felt it would be a great way to learn another point of view than just talk of glory and war from Tiamat's men.

The woman had her back turned but Fiona knew her footsteps were loud enough to even wake the dead.

When the woman knew Fiona approached her, she stopped peeling potatoes but she didn't turn around.

So she had to have known that she wasn't alone; she didn't even speak at first just waited but flinched when Fiona reached out to tap her shoulder.

The woman turned and snapped, "What do you want?"

"I..I must relieve myself," Fiona stammered, put off by the woman's sharpness. She cursed under her breath then just pointed in the general vicinity leaving Fiona to figure it out.

The moment Fiona started walking towards it the woman joined her friends and they broke out into raucous laughter.

Fiona frowned.

She wished they'd share the joke but they looked petty enough to make her the butt of their jokes.

Just great, even in this reality there were mean girls.

She walked a little away from the main house, she would have to ask Tiamat to get an indoor latrine built.

No way would she want to go outside every night in the cold air.

Chickens retreated as she approached and goats watched with cud in their mouth to chew, other women and children watched her with curiosity as she passed them by.

A growl stopped Fiona dead in her tracks, sitting in front of the outhouse almost as if it was guarding it was a huge ugly dog.

Teeth bared with saliva dripping from its massive canines, it didn't move just sat there watching her every move.

For some unknown reason the hound reminded her of dragon lord Tiamat.

She couldn't help but wonder if it would soon lunge at her and would be as unpredictable as Tiamat.

What was she to do now she started to dance as her bladder felt like it would burst open any second.

She thought about the endless humiliation she would have to face if she messed up her only sundress and would have to walk past those women into the castle.

How could she face them with her head held high after the humiliation.

Fiona inched closer to the dog, trying to build her resolve, the dog didn't move.

It just sat there and then she realized it wasn't watching her but looking behind her.

She turned and was relieved to see that it was Sloan approaching them.

"Is everything okay?" he inquired.

"I need to use the privy but the beast is blocking it," she said pointing to the dog.

Sloan tsked, as if to say silly girl, then he turned to shew away the dog as he had no fear of a creature he considered dumb.

The mutt refused to budge from in front of the outhouse and Sloan frowned at the dog.

His patience severely tested he went up and yanked the large mutt up by the scruff of its neck. The dog wasn't expecting it because he moved so swiftly it could only whimper.

"Go ahead," Sloan gestured dramatically with his free hand.

He then turned and walked away with the dog.

His plan was to house it in the stables until Tiamat decided what to do with it as the dog had belonged to the previous master of the castle.

Left alone facing the outhouse Fiona rushed towards ignoring the putrid smell wafting from it, she slowly pushed the heavy wooden door open.

She heard the buzzing of flies and she left the door slightly ajar because inside was so dark she could barely see anything.

The last thing she wanted to do was have a misstep and fall into a pit that hadn't probably been emptied since the castle was originally built.

Fiona hoisted her sundress and pulled down her knickers happily to relieve the contents of her bowels when she heard a shuffling sound.

She panicked, "What the hell, who's there?"

Fiona didn't even have time to wipe herself properly as she hastened to fix her garments.

Before she could pull her knickers up a wild hairy creature jumped on her, and both of them rolled on the dirty urine filled grounds.

The creature was covered in black soot from head to toe and it smelled even worse than the outhouse.

The only thing she could make out was the craze look in the creature's eyes and the gleaming knife that slashed at her leg.

She screamed out loudly for dear life, "Somebody help me please!"
