Villain Ch 1319. Circling Like Sharks
The older woman, who appeared to be the younger one's mother, gave Shea a fond smile before turning her attention to Allen. Her eyes lit up with curiosity. "I didn't know you were close to Mr. Goldborne."
Allen maintained his polite smile, already understanding where this was heading. He had seen this play out before—people pretending to make small talk, only to maneuver the conversation toward building connections. Still, he couldn't blame them. It was the game they played, and if he wanted to survive in this world, he'd have to play it too.
The younger woman smiled. "I had no idea Mr. Goldborne had another child. It was surprising news for us."
Allen chuckled softly. "It's a revelation for everyone."
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you," the older woman said, extending a hand toward Allen. "I'm Margaret, and this is my daughter, Lila. Our family has been acquainted with the Goldbornes for quite some time."
